I'm learning to enjoy being a software development manager. Who needs all that programming! I'm the decider! I get to... um... make suggestions sometimes. Mostly it tells me why I'm wrong, but... sometimes I feel useful! ,o)
My vision system is doing a great job of ringing the doorbell in the middle of the night when the spider people show up. github.com/JamesNewton/...
Yeah. That's why my cameras are all local, processed locally, and do not depend on any external cloud resources. And I'm not helping ICE. github.com/JamesNewton/... I would encourage people to try making their own doorbell (and chicken) cam systems. Not that hard.
This graph is slide 9 of my 20 slide presentation on this topic. But slide 5 is also pretty interesting: docs.google.com/presentation...
Solar PV mount clamps from found extrusion. 175w 44v panels for $10 locally. Donated rails of an unknown mfgr. Fun cobble.

I'm a really good programmer. Firmware and web stuff, C/C++/JS/TS/Py all that. But I'm a /horrific/ fabricator. This finally works... and it only took me a freak'n year. A YEAR. Can you believe anyone could be that lame? LOL.

It literally nails itself down to the deck with explosive bolts! LOL. Here is one of them, but all the legs have them.
I just found out that the podunk "Williams General Store" (Williams, OR) where I grew up has a payphone inside still. These are ALL modern pictures. It looked /exactly/ like that when I was 11 years old (50 years go). Just wow. Somethings really do not change.
