A few feathered friends from the Bass Rock, nr North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland, UK.

A Common Shag (seabird) sitting on a rock with its head tucked under its wing. Looks as if its trying to sleep but has one, beady, green, eye open. The feathers have a greenish sheen and it stands out against a dark background.

Feeling a smidge festive, now I've broken the back of the tedious tax return.

Met some nice doggos, as well as people, on the Heath today. The Sweetgum by Kenwood House is in glorious technicolour right now, too. First bit of rain in what seems like forever, so it was refreshing. Did find out that my rainjacket needs reproofing, though!
