#ShowMeYourKnits. WIP Wednesday. Wrap -feather and fan in Aran weight
This - and I work at home more than in the office - my laptop is closed, I have two monitors and an external keyboard and mouse (both of which I prefer). And a cat, but she's not standard equipment, just always around. :)
#ShowMeYourKnits I started knitting toys at Easter and this is the 100th...
I made one for my head of dept - who is an old friend ... he loved it but refused to share it with the department as a whole, so we needed one for us... Then HoD requested one for someone else, who thought it was a pigeon...
What say you, people in my computer? I've finished this and think it's fine without a face (I'm not all that good on faces, anyway).
Oh, yes! I love that pattern - I've knitted it three times... First for a PhD student.. Then for my dean (it made sense at the time) And then for a second PhD student who regretted she wouldn't get one like the previous student...
Nodding - I've only knit one - painting bricks shawl - but I've knitted it at least three times and it makes a great deal of sense, once one understands what's going on!
#ShowMeYourKnits... twice knit patterns? Lots more than twice - pattern names in alt
As the servant of a small cat who will turn 19 next month, I can relate.... (she's not a mouser, more a... supervisor).
#ShowMeYourKnits... essentials... stitchmarkers...small scissors.... plastic needles for sewing up, long, strong metal needles for details on dolls, measuring tape, small scales. Interchangeable needles and cords. Small circulars for hats. And supervisor, of course.
I've made a number like that - though slightly different... I do have the Izzy pattern, though!
#ShowMeYourKnits #knitting Almost all of my knitting happens when I'm doing something else - reading, listening, in meetings - so I need things that are simple. I saw something like this on Pinterest - don't have a pattern but I rather like the result. (Who said rabbits can't be green?!)
#ShowMeYourKnits... Blue? I like blue - there's a lot! But this is a favourite... I was asked to work with schools in the Shetland Isles one October. So this had to be done, right? Pi shawl in Aran...
Ah - they're from this pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... And can be made in many different ways - they take about an hour (and I make them double width so there's only one seam). Adding a skirt is fun, too - this one is with a colleague somewhere (Pattern is free - bonus!)
#KnitSky #ShowMeYourKnits #FOFriday These are on their way to a local authority later - 5 teddies, three square teddies and a kitty.... (also some are lilght and some are dark? Is that stretching things too far?)
#ShowMeYourKnits. Knitting in public -well a games cafe w colleagues!
Yesterday I should have been writing -I did that today. Yesterday, these happened… #knitting
#ShowMeYourKnits. So many! A shawl, a dog hood, a beret, and yet another shawl...
I *told* you these were addictive knits... (These are all going to a Local Authority tomorrow...) #knitting
#ShowMeYourKnits blankets? These have all gone to charity (mainly to cwtch corners in local primary schools)....
This may, just may, be getting out of hand (especially as this doesn't show the two that a colleague took this morning...).
I use a LOT of them -every repeat, for example. I think the correct number is :whatever number works for you….
#ShowMeYourKnits... yellow? Well, there's a bunny... and yet another TGV and Nature's Lace, made with yellow yarn bought when visiting Queensland for work! #knitting
