My statement suspending my candidacy for the U.S. Senate:

Maine people are my North Star — I'm grateful to have you all in this fight with me.

I’m proud to have your support in this race.

Thank you to everyone who joined me at Argenta Brewing Co. this evening in Portland to kick off the week! I’m working to earn each and every one of your votes — and in the Senate, I’ll fight for you with all I’ve got.

As Governor, I’ve made historic investments in affordable housing, but there is more to be done at the federal level. Today, I met with housing experts to hear from them about what steps Congress should take to make the dream of homeownership a reality for all Maine people.

Trump’s war in Iran and his whipsawing tariffs are driving up the price on everything from gas to goods — and it’s having an effect on our small businesses. We need a Senator who will stand up to him, because Susan Collins isn’t.

Great to meet with voters in Yarmouth this evening.  The path to turning the Senate blue runs through Maine — let’s give our state the voice it deserves in Washington!

In every living room, auditorium, or gymnasium I visit across our state, the message is clear — Maine people want a proven fighter for them in Washington, and are ready for Susan Collins to go. I've got what it takes to win this election and help take back the Senate.

Maine needs a Senator who will stand up and fight back against Donald Trump’s abuses and actions — not bend the knee like Susan Collins. I've done it before, and I'll do it again in the Senate.

When people drop their insurance because it’s no longer affordable, it raises the cost for everyone else — and for some, that can mean losing access to life-saving care. Susan Collins refused to extend the ACA tax credits, and it’s Maine people who are paying the price.

David Morse has accomplished so much during his time as Mayor of Westbrook, and has been an incredible advocate for his community. I couldn’t be more grateful for his support in this race, and I look forward to continuing our work together as Senator.

Climate change is at our doorstep — and Maine people are bearing the brunt of it. Today, on Earth Day, let us remind ourselves of the critical role we all play in protecting the beautiful state we call home.

As Governor, I delivered over $200 million in economic relief to thousands of Maine small businesses, including Three of Strong Spirits here in Portland. As Senator, I'll continue to have the backs of our small businesses and fight for the support they need.

It’s been a joy visiting small businesses across the state — talking about their successes and the challenges some still face. In the Senate, I’ll fight for policies to help them grow and thrive, just as I have as your Governor.

I love traveling across our great state as we continue this campaign.  Full steam ahead!

As Governor, I safeguarded access to reproductive care and protected providers in Maine, but there is still more work to be done at the federal level. We are in a fight for our rights, and I am honored to have the support of Planned Parenthood Action Fund in this race.

I’ve always said that health care is a right, not a luxury. The federal government is failing to do its part and Trump’s agenda is driving costs through the roof. Today, I met with health care providers and advocates to discuss how to fix our broken health care system.

Meeting with local leaders all across Maine has been one of the many highlights of this campaign.  Thank you for all the work you do for our communities — as Senator, I’ll fight like hell for our state.

It’s been a pleasure to work with Mayor Elyse Tipton on issues facing the South Portland community. I’m thankful for her endorsement in this race!
