My new photobook “The Gathering” pairs images from either a close proximity of time and place, or finds visual links connecting events and observations separated by many kilometres and years. This image pairing shows a fisherman and a sugarcane worker in La Libertad, Peru.
Reclining Woman: Elbow. Sculpture by Castleford, Yorkshire-born Henry Moore. Normally, you would see this 2.21 m bronze figure reclining in front of Leeds Art Gallery, but she has been relocated to Kew Gardens until 2027. #AlphabetChallenge #WeekBforBehind
6 TIMES by Antony Gormley. Water of Leith, Edinburgh #AlphabetChallenge #WeekBforBehind
My new book The Gathering is based on diptychs where the pairing of images comes from a close proximity of time and place, or finds visual links connecting events and observations separated by many kilometres and years. Here is a gardener in Haworth, Yorkshire and a pod of pelicans in Peru.

Ten Years After 2016-07-05 A day to reflect and celebrate your life, Dad. Miss you.
Surreal view of an arboriculturist at work. Seen through a window, through the rain. My favourite from the 3x3 set shown below.
Another arboriculturist visited my neighbour’s garden to remove a Swedish aspen that had overgrown itself and died of exhaustion. It was a courageous display by a highly skilled technician taking down an unwanted tree, piece by piece.
From a time when the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool truly reflected. Without ecological ignorance or excessive self-admiration. Happy July 4th to my American friends. #AlphabetChallenge #WeekZforZany
