Yesterday, I drove to Lumpkin, GA to visit Pauline Binam at Stewart Detention Facility. Her story deserves to be heard. She’s been victimized by our immigration system, her reproductive organs non-consensually taken from her body, and now she’s been taken from her daughter, who needs her right now.

Yesterday, it was my absolute honor to address the Play 4 Peace ATL Peace Walk at the historic King Center. A walk for peace in the midst of all that is going on in our country was just the reminder I needed that the fight for a more just and peaceful world is ALWAYS worth it!

Yesterday leaders across GA gathered for Soul of Atlanta Unity Day. To be able to sit alongside and gain insight and knowledge from civil rights leaders like Ambassador Andrew Young was impactful, but also a reminder that the fight for voting rights persists and requires us to stay ready!

Yesterday members of the Gwinnett delegation joined the Gwinnett Youth Commission for a networking lunch and conversation. What an amazing group of youth from across the county! The future looks bright.
