Grease 2 is under appreciated. The songs are (mostly) great, it’s funny as hell, and Michelle Pfeiffer and Maxwell Caulfield are as beautiful as two people have ever been on screen.
Sad to hear about Sam Neill. Horror icon, fantastic actor, and, as best I can tell, a decent man. Go watch Possession (1981). The movie feels like an assault, but it’s the best Lovecraftian horror out there, and he and Isabelle Adjani’s performances are totally unhinged.

I know the song is supposed to be an allegory for the Vietnam War, but I'm not sure how much my mystery would key on those themes. That said, I've also lately been getting back into Elden Ring, and I really love the Castle Morne set piece of the Misbegotten and piled up bodies. And the fire imagery.
I've been thinking about a Mystery for The Lands Remaining inspired by "The Court of the Crimson King" by King Crimson all week. The song has so much great imagery, and such a mysterious tone. I'll write it someday, but in the meantime, I'm having a lot of fun wondering who these characters are.

The house didn’t work out. 😕 It’s ok—it was always the most likely outcome, and I’ve made peace with it. Maybe I’ll try to find a slightly less shitty apartment as a consolation prize, haha. She was pretty, though! Sigh.

Tom, Rich, and I made the tough decision to retire Fear of a Black Dragon. We're going to record a farewell episode, but then that will be the end of our 10-year project. Varying reasons why, but it's mostly down to we've said what we wanted to say (and I've personally grown bored with the scene).
Presently reading The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas. Fantastic so far—gothic horror set in the years immediately following the Mexican War of Independence. Beautifully written and scary.
