Looks like I got it way off... I went back and found quite a few postcards from over the years with different prices. The one I quoted seems to have been from the 1970's (based on the stamp used). Here is one for the early 50's a little more in line with what we would have expected.
An "Oxford Timer Travel" show with each book a season. But I especially want to see an adaptation of "To Say Nothing of the Dog".
It's certainly an acquired taste, but I like it. Easier to track down here in Atlanta than I thought (RocketFizz & Cracker Barrel carry it). It's fantastic when mixed with other flavors (as in a "Wonder Worker" from 1915).

Saxe used a ton of alcohol though. his "Don't Care" syrup was basically Brandy along with the sugar, citric acid, & foaming agent to make it a soda syrup.
