Creative, author, dad of 3 soon to be 4, volunteers with grieving kids. My mom says I'm a pretty good writer. Check out my website:

It's the perfect day for a new book! I've got a cozy sci-fi adventure here filled with weird worlds, weirder creatures, deep worldbuilding, heart, and the BEST ship cat. If you're neurodivergent, you'll love this book! If not...50/50
Come on down to the Greensburg Garden Party Book Fair today and see me! Pick up a book, give the wheel a spin, and support indie authors!
BookViral made a pretty great promo graphic after they reviewed my book, though they sullied it with AI art. Wasn't real happy about that, but I paid for a review, not a graphic. I ordered a big print of it, and I've covered up the AI art with tropes.
I'll be at the Greensburg Garden Party Book Fair alongside a lot of other local authors and other vendors and activities! Get your tickets today! www.eventbrite.com/e/garden-par...?
I love when someone on KU picks up The Unknown Before Us and shotguns it in 24 hours. Maybe you should pick this one up as well 🤔 It's full of humor, heart, and hope. Not to mention vivid alien worlds, dangerous animals that live there, and a story you won't soon forget!
Well damn. I know it was inevitable that my perfect Goodreads rating would falter. I get it though, it's not a book for everyone. No book is.
I did some more tinkering and I feel like this might be the final cover for the fantasy book. I'm waffling on the crown though. The angle of the old one was superior, and the more ornate design fit with the story. I'm also including my dedication, which is all of two sentences.
I had copies of my book in the car, so I ran back to get some for them (always be husslin') but only @matociquala.bsky.social was there when I got back. But she was stoked to get one! And had me sign it! I promise to pet all the cats! And @johnchu.bsky.social I think I'm gonna love your book!
Went to the Pittsburgh book fest today, not planning to spend any money. What a silly notion. I passed a big tent on my way in, and 3 sci-fi authors were giving a talk. I loved listening, then bought all 3 of their books and had them signed!
Every author gets 1-star reviews right? Well I got a passionate takedown of my book where they even went into detail about why they hated the spelling of one character's name. (It's Blaze) Hit up Amazon and read the cozy sci-fi adventure that impacted someone so much that it made them angry!
My first vendor event is tomorrow, and I'm packed and ready! It's a local borough thing, and I'll probably be the only author there. We'll see how I do!
"The Unknown Before Us succeeds because its science fiction ideas never overshadow its characters. Beneath the alien landscapes, hidden histories, and galactic mysteries is a story about people trying to understand themselves — and each other — in a universe that often feels impossibly large."
I've got a box of book with fresh "Recommended Read" stickers boxed up and ready to go to the SFWA for Nebula Awards grab bags! It's been a hell of a week for this book, and it feels like everything is snowballing. Am I on the verge of author careerdom?
An autistic xenobiologist. An ADHD soldier out of time. A ship cat who'd rather have a good nap. Join Arcadia and Blaze on an adventure through space where they explore not just alien worlds, but what it means to be human. Available in ebook, paperback, and hardcover on Amazon. The unknown awaits.
I've done so much physical work over the last two days. I'm exhausted. So anyway, here's my promo post of the day! If you like cozy books, you'll like this one! Readers of Becky Chambers and Murderbot will like this one!
My hardcovers came in, so now I've got both to sell! They both turned out so well, and I'm super proud of myself for everything with this book. From the writing, to the formatting, to arranging the covers. It was all me, and I'm a little in disbelief at it Get yours on Amazon!
My book's been out for a week, and all I've managed is 5 sales and a few hundred page reads. I've been posting constantly across several social media sites, got on two different newsletters, and more. And yet have little to show. And it's a great book!
My paperbacks from Amazon came today! 19 of them were misprinted. Almost half. I'd heard about quality issues there, but man. Almost half? Really? Makes me wonder how my hardcovers are going to be. At least they gave me a refund.
This week I published my 2nd book after a 13 year hiatus! It's a character driven, cozy new adult sci-fi adventure! It's got neurodivergent protagonists, butthole trashcans, and a ship cat. If you like Murderbot or Becky Chambers, you'll like this! #newrelease #sciencefiction #writing
They really trying to drum up war in Nigeria as a Christian thing? Could right wing Christians not be complete suckers, just like once?
