Here's the thing though: I feel genuine angst about the fact that there are books on my TBR right now that I will likely die without reading.
Little Miss should not be smiling.

These books have been on my TBR for far too long, and now that I'm finally reading the first one, I can say that it is utterly delightful.

I wanted to be dismissive of the kind of vampire book where the heroine is named Lucy Easting and a vampire-alias worked for Demeter Cruise Line (among other references).
But I can't because I actually really love this book.

This is a really weird book. I'm not sure what else to say about it? I almost stopped reading after the first couple chapters but I think I enjoyed it in the end.

This may be the best "almost right but really not" movie description I've seen in a long time.
I love the low-key insinuation that she did it on purpose.

Current read. I'm about halfway through this one and still on the fence. I think I'm enjoying it, but it's slow and I'm not really sure where it's going.

There are two types of people...who are actually the same type. Conversation with BFF today.

Sometimes she yells for her dinner (and I mean YELLS) and it's waaay too early. The only way I have found to stop her is to reach out and gently grab her snoot. She hates it and will immediately lie down next to me for snuggles.

I actually read this a year or two ago, but I'm posting in honor of the sad news of his passing. This was a fun read about a really interesting life and career. The world will miss you.

This is a fun science-y read that I enjoyed earlier this year. She does a really interesting back and forth between intro-to-astrophysics and archaeology of early civilizations.

Returning to Melissa Caruso. I accidentally read the second trilogy first in this series, but I think maybe I'm enjoying it more because of that.
You can definitely tell these books were written earlier. They're all wonderful, but the Ryx trilogy is much richer and more complex.

So many twists that it just gets silly, but I think that's the point. I don't care, I loved it.

I think overall June was a good month.

How is she just the cutest puppy in the world? I love her so much. 🥰🥰

Today's book: a breath of fresh air in a terrible world.
I really love the Evander Mills books so I was a *little* disappointed when I saw this coming out instead of another of those, but now I just want more and more of this motley little family.

Without downloading new pics, describe your gender with one image

Current read. I absolutely adore it.
I never know what genre Kate Atkinson's books fall into but I love them.

I read this book over the weekend and I really loved it. It made me think of a coworker so I brought it to work today to share with him.
He literally has it on the shelf in his office.

What book sequel that may never be written are you still waiting for?
I read this one when it first came out in 2020. The ending leaves no doubt that a sequel was planned. But I look it up a few times a year and can find no indication that the author is still writing.

This one has been on my TBR for like a year and I'm so glad I finally got to it. Started it last night and I'm hooked.

Is it me, or is this fucking weird? Like, on multiple levels.

I absolutely adore this book. I can't even tell you.

Currently reading. The romance is a little clunky but I thoroughly love it anyway. Wonderful gothic fantasy storytelling.

Best Friends Tea.
My BFF and I found a pair of these vintage teacups at an estate sale last month so we each bought one and now we drink tea in them at the same time (we live in different states) and send each other pictures and call it Best Friends Tea.

Current read. Not one I would have picked up on my own (I'm wary of romantasy that so often turns out to be heavy on the rom- and lazy on the -antasy) but I'm really enjoying it.
#BookSky 💙📚🌈🪐

I wanted to love this but I struggled with it. I'm glad I read it but I'm not sure that I'll continue with the series.
