Cat is correctly assembled and non-working as intended. 😁 Sumi tiny!cat does remarkably similar poses all the time.

That's the generally accepted version I've experienced in gaming over the years, but every so often I see the alternative popping up. (Ahh, the Great Vowel Shift strikes again, I suspect re: 'lic'='leech')

Mx Smashy, large home-made mallet lies diagonally across a set of bathroom scales.

The mallet is made of a short length of steel rebar, the head of a short section of steel pipe with steel plate welded over the ends, and the head filled with something heavy. (Lead, very possibly.) The whole thing was once painted a bright blue, but has since ~50% flaked off.

The scales read somewhere between four and five kilograms.

An excellent, considered and coherent refutation of those that argue against the existence of any art or fiction that contains aspects they find problematic or 'icky'. Posted particularly for @foxhall.bsky.social , who I know has had trouble with these arrogant and self-absorbed fools.

Saying "this niche, properly tagged, warned, and rated piece of fiction could theoretically hurt someone" is not a good argument. This properly labeled cookie with the allergen information that contained gluten could theoretically harm me very badly, but only if I consume it. Tags are like nutrition labels, and warnings are like allergy information. If you know you have an allergy to something, the logic is to stay away from it. It is the same with fiction. I'm not running through stores yelling at people to take all the products with gluten off the shelves just because it could hurt me. Instead I ignore it and go the the gluten free section and find cookies that are right for me. And if running through a grocery store yelling sounds ridiculous, that's because it is. Stop doing the same with fiction.

And just like with food, what might be harmful for one person to consume could be quite *beneficial* for others. One man's trigger is another man's catharsis.

AND if you lack the maturity/self control/awareness to stop yourself from eathing things that could potentioally harm you, you either 1) are too young to be making your own food choices and should be supervised by a parent/other adult who is supposed to be responsible for you (and the store clerk who put the food on the shelf is NOT) or 2) need to take accountability for your own actions, because if you deliberately consumed something you knew could hurt you as a fully autonomous adult, then you really have no one to blame but yourself.

Can I be real for a minute

A numbat (Myrmecobius fasciatus) stands on a fallen log looking towards the camera.

The numbat is a small, distinctively-striped animal between 35 and 45 centimetres (14 and 18 in) long, including the tail, with a finely pointed muzzle and a prominent, bushy tail about the same length as its body. It's colouring ranges from soft grey on the head to reddish-brown across the shoulders and upper back, and with a conspicuous black stripe running from the tip of the muzzle through the eye to the base of the small, round-tipped ear. A number of white stripes cross the animal's hindquarters, which gradually become fainter towards the midback. The underside is cream or light grey, while the tail is covered with long, grey hair flecked with white.

Hmm. It seems I haven't taken any pictures of them since September, I should remember to get some new ones.

Mouse plush!puss (a mostly white with black bits floofy tuxedo), lounging in the green cat bed in front of the bedroom window, her fuzzy belly exposed.

Sumi tiny!cat is curled up in the far corner of the square bed from the viewer, which goes some way to highlighting the size difference between the two of them.

Sumi tiny!cat ( long-haired, mostly black with some white bits tuxedo) contentedly and adorably curled up tightly on top of my blue blanket-covered feet, which are raised up on the chair I put under my desk precisely for the putting-up-of-my-feet, but is generally Filled By Cat whenever it is that I go to do so. Because OF COURSE it is. ;)

Name a TV show you’re positive no one remembers but you. Centred around 8! twenty-somethings, almost all white, almost all in the band that shared the name with the show. Ratings just weren't there from the start, and Fox canned it, never even releasing the 13th episode. 🙁

That trivia makes me smile widely and love the movie even more, a VERY high bar! I still have the A Kind of Magic album on vinyl, and with the exception of the first song, it's just Highlander songs. That first song is instead from Iron Eagle starring Michael Ironside. #HowVery #SuchEighties
