Finally answered my census questions for this week. I'm an athiest and I like that "No Religion" was the most obvious answer to the religion question, hopefully encourage non-practicing people who grew up religious to consider answering No Religion if it suits them.
Props to the Financial Review for my fave house-price-slight-correction batshit headline so far: "Sydney now leads Melbourne in race to bottom of housing market." Huge if true lol.
Apparently many software companies have spent much of their annual budget on slopware. Anyway there was this time in the simpsons when Homer got elected as the local garbage collection manager and spent the whole annual budget on a parade.
TIL there's a Ratatouille themed restaurant called Remy on some Disney cruise ships. Did anyone check what's under the chef's hat?
Lotta boring pretty outfits at the Met Gala this year but I like Janelle Monae's craft project from the obsolete cable stash.
are the kids still saying 6-7? i assume they'll be stopping now there's some commercial interest.
i take your point, but the image looks like trump killed epstein with force lightning.
Dunno what that tshirt was but it reminds me of various signs inspired by Pluribus.
best series for cold & flu meds so far is that sci fi series The Prisoner. when i was living in england and had a gnarly chesty cough so i got all the expectorants including some gross ones. it worked too - avoided chest infection. anyway, that show gets pretty weird :D
grok says it isn't a fibonacci number, unless you look at the conclusion. very coherent.
Sadly, Woolies aren't selling the "fairy bread" hot cross buns this year. End of an era.
I've been informed my family Xmas will actually be on the 25th this year, it's usually later. So I won't be able to bring any of them hundreds-and-thousands hot cross buns from woolies cos they don't start selling til boxing day. Might make this slice instead. insidebrucrewlife.com/funfetti-sug...
This big butterfly christmas decoration in central Perth is very pretty but mostly it reminds me of that Perdito Street Station book.
Lil Enamel dish is happy to have served as a lid while I was cooking a small trial run of tamarind & date sauce in the air fryer.
sous vide which heats a water bath to, say, 81.5ºC. works for gel heatpacks. slower than microwave but it's set-and-forget.
the triceratops thing is a pun, the rest of my earlier post is accurate though.
@shrydar.bsky.social @tiredhottakes.bsky.social fb showing me some stupid shit tryna start an argument 😆
