These peony plants are about a century old, and were planted by the Kravig family, the first and only previous owners of our home. That paler pink one has more than 50 blossoms. The Kravigs were literally Norwegian bachelors and bachelorettes.
The good place has been cleared of last season’s dust and dirt. Windows and carpet washed. Cup of tea on the table and a book in my hand. 💕

On the topic of pie, my guys Steve and Alan at Stockholm Pie’s national awards are no b.s. the sour cream raisin, the coconut cream, whatever fruit is their seasonal special. But really, the only bad pie is no pie at all.
