My little Tolkein collection is growing. I asked my mum if she had a copy of the Silmarillion as I want to read it, finally. (I have listened to the audiobook but feel ready to dive in). She didn't have her old copy but she did go and order me one, bless her.

Mum and I spent a captivating few hours wandering around Stourhead Gardens. Well worth the price of admission. Utterly beautiful, especially in glorious weather. In the distance in this picture is a building inspired by and called 'the Temple of Apollo'. Beautiful.
