First pic is before. Second and third pics are current state. Annoyingly, there’s nothing obvious to explain the issues, which means the problem is somewhere deeper in the engine. Our suspicion is cracked piston rings. The “fun” continues… #classictruck #1967Dodge #mechanic #yikes
Went to Mopar Nationals this morning. Spent most of our time in the swap meet area until the rain came. Sorry I didn’t get to walk around the show cars or watch any racing. Took the MG out for a drive to get ice cream this afternoon. #classiccar #antiquecar #1954MG #MGTF1500
After getting the truck to it’s 1st car show last Saturday I thought we’d be all set for the Mopar nationals. And then it developed engine problems. So… looks like we’re parked for the rest of the year. Now the race is on to see if we can get back on the road by next spring! #classictruck #1967Dodge

Now here’s some serious awesomeness from #osh26 courtesy of @avgeekllynch.bsky.social. #avgeek #aviation #airplane
For whatever reason it brings me comfort to know that there are still lighthouses in the world, shining light out into the gloom. Here’s a little zen for your Tuesday. #peace #beach #beachvibes #lighthouse
More awesomeness from #OSH26 courtesy of @avgeekllynch.bsky.social! Thunderbird 8 flew in this afternoon. The pilot plans to camp under the wing osh-style. #avgeek #aviation #usaf
An Iraqi MiG25 (Foxbat) found buried in the sand near an Iraqi airbase. Wings were never located. Very cool to see it on display! #avgeek #aviation #airplane #MiG #NatlMuseumUSAF
Persnickety brake problems persist. (Say that 10 times fast! 😜) Bleeding the brakes for what feels like the millionth time. #classictruck #1967Dodge #classiccar
The truck drove around the block (about 6 miles) successfully. Twice! But… I find myself a little hesitant about Good Guys this weekend. I feel like more shake-down time is needed to be sure we can trust it to go any distance. #classictruck #classiccar #1967DodgeTruck
Much work ongoing. We’ll see what happens. If it can’t be ready by next weekend we have another event later this summer that we’ll aim for. #notgivingup #classictruck #1967dodge
This is not how we wanted today’s test drive to go. 🙁 Brake problems. Again. 🙁🙁 #classiccar #classictruck #1967dodge
Well, well! Look who is sitting outside this morning. And with a new windshield! #classiccar #classictruck #1967Dodge
Success! Finally found the correct paint to touch up some of the body work. #11daystogo #GoodGuys #classiccar #classictruck #1967Dodge
Today’s project in the saga of whether we can get the ‘67 Dodge ready for Good Guys next month: door pins. Driver’s side. #classiccar #classictruck #1967dodge
Taking the ‘67 Dodge for a drive around the property… with no windshield. LOL! #classictruck #oldtruck #1967DodgeTruck
And here it is painted! Not the right color though. Close but a little too blue. It’ll be covered by trim so it won’t be noticable, but we’ve ordered what we think is the right color (desert turquoise) so we’ll see. #classictruck #1967dodge #preservation
Why do we call the 1967 Dodge “Pelican?” Well on each door is the remains of an emblem. Appears to be a pellcan with an open beak sitting on a piling. Could this truck have belonged to a park or a municipality? So far no luck identifying the image. #classicar #1967dodge #classictruck
We have 28 days to get Pelican the 1967 Dodge D200 truck ready for the Good Guys show in July. Can we do it? We’ll see. One big chore was patching the holes in the front above the windshield. Progess is being made! #classictruck #1967dodge #preservation
It’s car show season! The truck isn’t ready yet (we’ve got 1 month to get it ready for the Good Guys) so we’ve got MarGe out. Great day for a show! #1954MG #MGTF1500 #classiccar
Big news! MarGe the 1954 MG has a baby brother! He’s a 1967 Dodge D200. No name yet but we’ll sort one out eventually. I always wanted a classic truck so I’m super excited. #classiccar #classictruck #dodge
