Screenshot share! With the godlike bits! I designed the character's features around those. And I went with the court augur background cause that's the one that stood out to me the most.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Georgia and Atlanta? Because seriously. Southern hospitality at its best. Can't make it to the game or fanfest? Come watch on a big screen right in front of the stadium. Complete with a beverage and food stand. 😂

Estate sale win today! A little more pricey than I normally prefer but still under eBay prices. Also: FINALLY completed Kirsten's summer outfit after forever. And with a hat in beautiful condition!!!

Whoo new jerseys to add to my 2019 Netherlands womens team one!

Awesome day in Atlanta with @barbiejedi.bsky.social at the FIFA fan fest. I swear, every time I go into the city, it grows on me more and more. We stood in line to get those free bracelets. Totally worth the wait. And then I blew all my money at the FIFA store. 😅

Having a handy dad is the best. One of the concepts my students struggled with in oceanography last semester was the Ekman Spiral and Transport (ocean.si.edu/planet-ocean...). I asked my dad if he could build me a 3D model for future classes and the product so far:

I feel like I've finally come full circle from the days I was a student in field courses and profs would park on the side of the road for us to explore. Now I'm the prof parked on the side of the road while students look for stream inverts for class.

One of my students found this really coll pine cone on a stick in the woods today. He brought it to class as a gift for my dog (who made a guest appearance during one of our labs earlier this semester). She appreciated it!

Got my kickstarter order from Misty Mountain in! A part of me wishes I could've afforded the ocean biome dice, too. But the tundra dice catch amazingly in the light. And I couldn't resist the fossil dice!

So my parents went to another estate sale today. And picked up a couple more Pleasant Company American Girl items. I now have Kristen's bed (missing pillow), Kirsten's rag doll, and Kirsten's loom kit (complete, never used). For $25.

Well, in honor of COP30, my class did two rounds of the World Climate Simulator. Hardball level, without the US present. We got to 2.3 degree C by 2100. And not nearly enough contributions to climate funding (and one group saying no climate refugees in return for $$). I so love/hate this activity.

The top left graph shows greenhouse gas emissions by region (with the US at the most) while the left graph shows our current sea level rise. We wound up with a +2.3 degree C temp increase by 2100.

I now own a Kitchenaid stand mixer....for a grand total of $5. My dad purchased it at a garage sale to see if he could fix it. Turned out the answer was yes.
