We still have all of these spokes roads. Once they hit the county line, the names each change to Lexington Rd (or Pike). Until the county line, they're named for the next town. I live 2 blocks from Richmond Rd.
There's a Euclid Ave half a mile from me in Lexington, KY. When it reaches the University of Kentucky campus, the name changes to Avenue of Champions. Also, my 1930s Hollywood name is Myrtle Euclid.
