I picked three movies about unconventional romances, and then one about Orson Welles waxing lyrical about the art of forgery.
The trailer for Adam Wingard's latest ONSLAUGHT looks decent, but I know I'm immediatelly sold as soon as I hear Dan Stevens doing a ridiculous European accent. This man cannot be stopped, and I don't want anyone to even try.
I'm not going to count indies I saw at a film festival that either didn't or barely got a public release, because that doesn't seem fair. Putting those aside, it's a toss-up between Pixels and this year's Return to Silent Hill. Both video game-related, but both awful in very different ways.

Yeah, most of those games were rushed even in those days, so it'd be even worse now. I'd say the best solution in the modern age would be to go the route of The Mummy Demastered: hire smaller studios to make simpler, bite-sized tie-in games, then sell them for $20-40 a pop.
Yeah, the ROTS game is the weakest of the bunch, but I have a lot of nostalgia for it. Specifically for the Versus mode; it's the best official Star Wars fighting game we've ever gotten.
I miss movie tie-in games and I think we should bring them back. And I mean proper ol' fashioned, day-and-date with the movie games, not after-the-fact stuff like RoboCop: Rogue City and the like. Yeah, they were mediocre-to-bad 90% of the time, but it was worth it for the few gems that weren't:

I resent the part where Eden calls Project 8 a bad game (janky and poorly-aged, but not bad!), but otherwise I'm in total agreement! Thank you to everyone who made K4TL this year such a success! Here's hoping whatever we end up doing next year is even bigger and better! I love our gay+trans kids!
