Wait, does US Soccer not regularly provide players (much less, ostensible stars) with media training?! I mean, as a fan I don’t actually love the highly sanitized results, but still. I’d be legit shocked to hear that USWNT regulars didn’t do so, though they’re obviously operating at a higher level.
I finally got around to creating something to display my collection of pins & buttons, using upholstery remnants, cork board & some ribbon. Some of these are cringe, but that’s a collection for you.
Since I’m sure everyone is dying to know, this is my ideal desk. Easy to configure different setups; reasonably large surface; & 💖tray💖 for students to put their bags & other crap on so I can walk around & check in w/o tripping! AFAIK, only 1 building has them & I’m never assigned there.
Thanks to @karenhallionkenney.bsky.social’s She Series, TIL about Rebecca Lee Crumpler, the 1st African American female medical doctor, who was born just down the street in Christiana, DE in 1831. Now I’m curious if there are any statues or plaques in the state (though she was raised in PA).
Kasey would pre-sniff all shoes for acceptability. If a shoe seemed really promising, she would sleep face-down over it to be sure of its quality.
Bonus fun fact: look at the difference between the US men and the US women’s national crests. The women have four stars, representing the four times they’ve won the World Cup.
I was going to wait until tomorrow (Polish Constitution Day) to post this but realized today is Polish Flag and Polish Diaspora Day, so it’s even more timely. Molly’s costume is a Polish-American-Canadian collaboration between me and a friend and the accessories belonged to my grandparents.
