Just a few photos I’ve taken this year on hikes in *entirely free to access public land* near my home in SoCal. (You can pay to access more convenient parking but you can park for free if you’re willing to walk a few blocks)
It is the Leone ridge! The view from the Matterhorn after you ski down it into Cervinia looks like this (a little different than the view from Fantasyland, lol):
Thank you! These photos (especially the sky buckets from the 80s and the people mover) are triggering deep nostalgia from my childhood. We finally made it to the (OG) Matterhorn this year and were shocked how different it looks from the Italian side…but my kids recognized the Swiss side instantly.

Still making my way through the post but had to pause to compliment it on the witty and fun to read sentences like:
Nah dawg, I spent it hiking in Malibu and returned to waste the evening arguing about gender differences and nuclear safety on a niche microblogging app with its power user base.
““Unfortunately, certain individuals on the World Liberty project team have been operating the project in a manner that goes against President Trump’s values,” Sun said in a post on X.” Guys, I’m starting to think Sun might not understand Trump’s values.
The whole article is worth a read (and should be shared with your family and friends who have tuned out), but I thought this paragraph did a great job framing the situation and the stakes:
“JD Vance, I’ve seen what you’ve done for Orban and I want that for Trump.”
Joe & The Juice on Champs-Élysées has an important message for American voters:
