I’m a sci-fi fan don’t think The Murderbot Diaries are for me. It took too long to finish All Systems Red for because frankly I was bored. I didn’t understand why one team killed DeltFall and wanted to kill the bots’ unit. Does it get better? Ugh 2.5 ⭐️s. #booksky

Hadn’t read a good witchy romantasy in awhile. Heartless Hunter the 1st book in the Crimson Moth series fit the bill. Witches, witch hunters, action, romance, heartbreak. It had all of that and was a fun, frivolous read. I look forward to the 2nd book. 3.9 ⭐️s #booksky

I hated this book for the first third. The writing style was pretentious, I hated the characters, the war descriptions were too brutal. But then it grew on me. The never ending sentence became understandable within the context of the story. The prose was beautiful but gross. 4 ⭐️s #booksky

Hard to believe but I had never read 1984. Everyone should. I fear US society is slipping into this world of doublethink with its destruction of words and history, the increasing censorship of media, the march of interminable war. Finished The Scammer by Tiffany D Jackson last night. I have loved the other three books by Jackson that I’ve read but this one was a bit of a stretch for me. I just didn’t find the story compelling or somewhat believable. It was a nice quick read though. 3.4 ⭐️s #booksky

I just finished a quirky little novel that was fast-paced and unique—Interesting Facts About Space by Emily Austin. I enjoyed the characters in this novel as they each came with their own sources of trauma. I thought the ending was a bit abrupt and awkward but overall I liked it. 3.9 ⭐️s #booksky
