Checking off a bucket list item — cooking on a finicky AGA in the Cotswolds. Over a couple of days, made beef stew, pulled lamb, falafel, several breakfasts and countless pots of tea.

Okay, we got seven (7) pounds of ribeye on the smoker today. With a little bourbon for me, as a treat.

If you ask my kids, my body is on the brink of implosion from softball.

Sous vide (in triple digits on the porch), then smoke. Turned out great!

I cook in the oven first (Saran wrap, tin foil) before a brief blast on the smoker to add some color and some wood. Cool, rainy weather is perfect for keeping temps down.
