in the name of *innovation*, our course evaluations system has implemented word clouds to go with our feedback. This is for my Phil of Sport class. The left one is for the "what was beneficial in the course?" question; the right is for "what needs improvement?" Neither is in any way useful lol

nitpicky gripe: people (esp in poly circles) talk about the 'relationship escalator' (see image) to describe moving through relationship stages. But when you're on an escalator, you (standardly) move upward *while staying on the same step*! It should be called the 'relationship staircase'!!

Most of the pieces I've read of folks criticizing Lindy West's memoir/foray into polyamory have consisted of authors telling on themselves in various ways. But this Louise Perry one in WSJ is in another category—it's so dripping with disdain that it's seriously embarrassing to read.
