Tonight in the company of a dear friend at Seattle’s wonderful Benaroya Hall, I enjoyed the spectacular talent of Itzhak Perlman. Seventy-nine years of age, he tootled out on his scooter and proceeded to burn the house down. A night to remember.

😊 As the project evolves, I’ll definitely post more pics. In the meanwhile, I’ll share another wall full of art in my loft.

This is a picture of a wall in the loft of my apartment. The wall is yellow. From the left on the wall is a hand carved plaque from Kenya featuring animals, including a cape Buffalo, an elephant, giraffes, and lions. Second from the left is a framed illustration of the character Castiel from the TV show Supernatural. In the middle is a Balinese mask of Ganesha, carved from dark wood. Second from the right is a framed piece of art portraying Wonder Woman with a quote that says “You are stronger than you believe. “On the far right is a leather sculpted mask in brown. Beneath that row of art are two small paintings by the artist Don Maitz. On a red chest of drawers beneath the paintings are framed photos of family and a couple of vases.

So, the stairwell art project has begun. My Star Wars and Doctor Who corner is well on its way (more to come after Rose City ComicCon), but the other wall? Definitely a work in progress. Only the 79 MM Film Festival poster is in its final spot.

This is a picture of the corner of a stairwell. The walls are cream-colored. On one wall is a framed poster from the film The Empire Strikes Back. On the adjacent wall is artwork of the TARDIS from Doctor Who, a photograph of a woman with the actor David Tennant, an autographed photo of David Tennant, and an autographed photo of actor Christopher Eccleston.

This is a photograph of a stairwell. The walls are cream colored. On the wall at the top of the staircase hangs a brightly colored poster in a black frame from the Cinerama‘s 70 mm Film Festival in Seattle. At the bottom of the staircase, a poster from the 1999 movie The Mummy hangs on the wall. There is an empty stretch of wall between them. Beneath the poster of The Mummy, several framed posters lean against the wall, yet to be hung.
