Went to the commissioning ceremony for the local volunteer fire department's new truck. There's a sort of blessing they say over the new truck that ends with, "May all who go out on this truck return safely."
I used to fence. Could you try a fencing type lunge? Rotate the back foot 90 degrees and you won't have to bend the toes. Back leg stays straight.
