Ella is 5 years old today 🎉😻🐾I can’t believe she’s all grown up so fast. Along the way, she healed my broken heart after losing Gonzo, then she saved my life. Happy Birthday my floofy girl. 🥰🥰🥰 (Enjoy your new 🏕️)

It’s been a spicy #Caturday. They each got a catnip-marinaded fresh mouse. But apparently they both wanted this one. 🙄😬🐱🐾👀🐭
It’s RibFest, baby. I’ve missed it only twice since it began, and that was when I was very sick. The one time of year when all my friends are in one place at the same time. Except for this year, when they all decided to go on different days… so I will be going all 3 days 🙄🔥
They are getting closer and closer to actually touching without the fighting. When the lightning and thunder started last night, Pip looked to Ella for reassurance instead of me a couple times. I think she likes him more than she will admit 🐱🐾😻
Last night, we had a breakthrough. Pip wants so badly to touch Ella when we settle in for the night. She allowed some fur to floof touching-for about 5 minutes. 🐱🐾😻
Ella and Pip have had a very busy #Caturday so far. Ella is showing Pip the best spots for bird watching and food prep supervision. 🐱🐾😻
When it’s time for meal preparations, Pip is eager to lend a helping hand. 🐱🐾

Bird and squirrel watching took up most of the afternoon for Ella and Pip. Pip is still obsessed with Ella’s tail, and has tried hard to leave it alone. 🐱🐾😻
Years ago, when I started the process of adopting a sibling for Ella, I wanted each kitty to have their own “highest perch in the house.” Today it happened 🐱🐾😻🙏🦁
There’s been a flurry of activity for Ella and Pip today. After long morning naps and watching the birds and bears in the rain, an undeterred Pip pitched his tent despite the weather. He’s a good Canadian (dual citizen) boy 🐱🐾😻🏕️
Pip found out that he is a mighty little boy after all. And Ella is excited to feel and smell the cool wind and rain coming. 🐱🐾😻🌧️💨
