John Heaton (not the blind Bolton Wanderers fan)

Madison, Wisconsin. Hospitality industry professional, physically disabled, PC(USA) deacon, singer, lover of armadillos. He/him/his. Not this John Heaton:
Don't you think "South Carolina's governor names Lindsey Graham's adopted daughter to serve out his term" would have been a more interesting and intriguing headline?
Thinking back to 1992, when I started working in the US Senate, I count three people who are still and probably will remain widely known for what they did as Senators: Byrd, Kennedy, and McConnell.
"It's a long story. Sufficient to say, I don't like liars who steal nail polish and then pass out when you slap 'em a little on the back of the head."
Not that forgotten but we need #andamovie
RIP Bonnie Tyler, whom I assume went out like this
12th anniversary of the last time I watched a World Cup match.
“Your last saved celebrity pic on your phone is your therapist”
I haven't been paying attention to the World Cup, but some information has filtered through as people chatter about big games and great goals and exciting upsets and such, and I think today is the first time I heard that Switzerland was even in the tournament. Quiet competence, I like it.
This panel from Superman #400 is a fine metaphor for the similarity between Supergirl's Leesburg VA and the one I lived in.
I like this one enough that I created this GIF. (Well, I had Frinkiac create it for me, same thing.)
Ed Wood (1994), featuring Jeffrey Jones as The Amazing Criswell, "an American psychic known for his wildly inaccurate predictions" who was part of Wood's regular troupe of actors.
Apparently no one involved in worship planning noticed that today's closing song ("Your Grace Is Enough") directly contradicted the epistle reading (Romans 6:15, "Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not!").
Is Scooby-Doo a pet? Seems like he's just one of the gang. Anyway, the best TV pet is Annie's Boobs from Community.
I'm not saying I don't appreciate the representation but that ramp is *not* ADA-compatible
I can relate. When I visited DC a few years ago, I insisted my friend meet me for lunch at Comet Ping Pong, home of the 2016 Pizzagate conspiracy theory. www.burnsnotice.com/its-just-a-p...
Really it needs a prestige TV adaptation to do it justice.
I'm not really an album-oriented listener and when I do listen to an album, I rarely skip anything, but let's go with this one because it was a fave back in the LP days, when skipping tracks was a practical impossibility.
Luckily no one here in Madison is all that interested in pizza, coffee, or beer.
Hooked on is maybe too strong but I'm enjoying this one
Post something that still traumatizes you.
