I attended my 1st writers workshop on Wednesday. Loved it Asked, if comfortable, to bring along a piece in the theme of water I wrote this I'm proud to say, I wrote this Thank you @kathrynmcrowleyink.bsky.social for the hosting and encouragement #speirgorm #spéirghorm #booksky #Writingcommunity

Good morning from a bright and sunny (if cloudy) West of Ireland. Every minute the light is changing. So beautiful
2 views, soft warm air, cold water. Coastal image from Vico road Sea view of 2 paddle boarders from White rock beach Dalkey, Co Dublin. #Speirgorm #spéirghorm
Thanks for the heads-up. €10 for 11 books of Pat Ingoldsby Wow, just wow. Couldn't resist...
A bit of morning solace, a mini timeout break and great start to the day. White rock beach, Killiney/Dalkey #speirgorm
In fairness the tfi app does work. Do timetable search for your route. Enter date Enter time Hit departures (from its terminal/start place And then scroll to the stop you want - it'll show all expected times of arrivals/departures.
My favourite each summer. Backgarden Privet bush/tree in full bloom and bees buzzing all day long. The smell is beautiful and the buzzing so therapeutic. #Speirgorm #spéirghorm
It's not every day, you sit at a bar with an original 1850s certificate, issued by the Royal Dublin Socitty, complete with waxed seal stamps. The pub used to be a music shop. McNeills on Capel street. The certificate presented to Mr John McNeill adjudged a 'Cornopea" the maker of Brass instrument.
Today I closed out the last missing name of our family tree. Missing was 22 names of great and great-great-grandparents, Bonus was learning 8x G-G-Gps. Satisfying and serene to hold. Still more to do with details, but names now won't be forgot #spéirghorm #Geneology #Dublin #Ireland
Picked up this beauty of a book today. Only €5.00 😱 Couldn't resist it. Totally accessible read, decent story line and linking across the viking world.... €5.00 Its my own #Vikingraid 😎 #speirgorm #spéirghorm
Somebody needs to shut this fucker up. Permanently. He openly calls for genocide. When he is a coward. Call his bluff Call him a coward But stop the bullshit of listening to him
Dublin on a bright evening. Taken on Stephen's Lane, back of the Guinness plant. Luas lines and a bit of Hueston Station too.
My car broke down with a hydraulic leak.. And now, as the sun is set to come out for a few rare days all I want is rain to wash it away. Dear #spéirghorm please make it make sense.... (I did use soakage, and yard brush and even the power washer, but only made the whole street look like a rainbow)
But us quieter folk pretend to understand things like our lack of actual funny humour, shallowness of deep insight and sense of perspective in face of world outrage. In reality it's just our lack of road frontage that holds us back. Meanwhile, here's a picture of Dublin....
I'm in my late 50's, and only last week went to Italy/Rome for the 1st time. Wow. Wow. We don't have to see everything/everywhere the world over. But when such history and beauty is on our doorstep. I question I haven't been before Wow.
Charlie, one of the most stupidest and loveable pets we could ever have. Loved him to silly bits. 💔
If one is to enjoy one's whiskey, one should also enjoy the glass it presents in. A Christmas present of glasses from my brother, the contouring in its base a replica of the Sugar loaf mountain in Co. Wicklow. Whiskey Jameson Black barrel from another brother - for my Birthday ❤️
Hi @darach.bsky.social , found this photo of the five lamps, North Strand. Now I know what was there before the school was built, but now I need to know what was there before the houses were 😂😎
Went for a beautiful nature walk. Took a lot of time to appreciate colours and sounds... Take care over there. 💙
Rather proud of this one. #Blueskyphotography #speirgorm #Ireland #Art #photography #Landscape #Nature #Snapseed #Reflections
From an exhibition in the Irish museum of modern art (IMMA) in Kilmainham, Dublin. No, my photo was not the exhibit, but a photo of an art installation piece. I wish. 😢 #Speirgorm
