The Chelan Hills Fire is burning near Orondo, WA (southeast of Lake Chelan) and is around 800 acres as of this morning per @watchduty.org
And here’s a closer look at the drogue in the tail for the dual VLF antennas that the E-6B Mercury deploys in flight to communicate with submerged subs. The longer of the two antennae is FIVE MILES LONG!
