14.3” and 13” in 24h with many other areas over 5” (8). overlaying the huc8 boundaries you can see how neatly these cover some watersheds.
RRFS for comparison. F24 (middle) was also good but does quite a bit of wandering around in space and magnitude. patterns are there even if the magnitudes are left wanting
HRRR did well starting around F24 (center) with 5” and got as high 8” at 00z Jul 10. pattern wise pretty good throughout.
Lunchercise brought me to these loud fellows. Two kingfishers, two pileated (same ones) and a host of small birbs were all very excited to be in nice wx.
The sky amazed. Two hawks, two pileated Seen. Owls in the distance and the clouds and blue sky was a visit from bob ross. The peepers were peeping. Time with the mrs well spent
Enjoying this read for “tumultuous times”. Ive had to adjust my own stocks, flows and feedbacks these last few months. Slow and steady, deliberately learning my new system and the ones engulfing me. Thanks @bethsawin.bsky.social !
