Sign in the center reads "SIDEWALK ENDS". The bottom third of the photo is two panels of well kept sidewalk, which ends at the signpost. 10 months later, I finally got around to assembling my Byrdie The Duck #CustomFigure. Throwing the painted pieces in the hot water to soften them up enough to pop back together was scary. All in all, pretty proud of my first ever custom figure attempt.

Byrdie The Duck action figure. Nearly complete repaint of a Siryn figure, stealing Falcom's shoes and wings. Her shirt is a black tank top with a red skull emblem that has a white lens flare in one eye. She has black leggings with maroon painted on leather accents and similarly colored combat boots. She has wing tattoos on the inside of both arms and has wings with a sort of sunset color scheme red at the center, orange on the middle, and like a red beige for the wing tips. She has painted on eyeshadow and darker lipstick, a white diamond on her forehead, and her hair starts red, but abruptly switchs to white about 2/3s down. She is hovering over a patio table by way of a electronics clamp thing. There is out of focus trees and shrubs in the background as well as a white building.

Top is a very abstract psychedelic punk picture in a black frame with lots of eyes and warped band related imagery. On the top in white 70s bubble letters it says PUP KEEPS SENDING ME. Beneath that is a big bowl of soup, and floating among the tentacles and eyeballs and fangs are yellow alphabet soup letters saying MORE BAD STUFF, which is the name of their substack. Towards the bottom, it has been signed by all 4 members of the band.

Bottom is a frameless painting I did of Zigzagoon as a chipped mug turned into a planter.

Middle is a framed handdrawn picture I got for Christmas a decade ago from my cousin-in-law, Tom Adams. It depicts Harry Caray holding a can of Budwieser with a smiling goat over his right shoulder. They are looking down from a cloud onto a baseball field. The cloud has Cubs Win! on it, where the exclamation point is a baseball bat. On either side of the field are David Ross pointing both hands into the sky and Kyle Schwarber running the bases. The field has 2016 in white block letters. The upper right of the picture says World Series Champion, underlined by red stitching of a baseball.

Foggy and I were competing for Big Stretch space during our naps. She won.

I burned through this today. And still managed to take my oldest out to the mall and made dinner and did a full run of the dishes.

Completed Lego One Piece pirate ship. Centered under the light, held by me. On the windowsill, you can see a stack of books, the top two are Accomplice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer and Twelve Months by Jim Butcher. Both of which have been started, but not completed yet.

Whoever wrote the recipe that came with my waffle maker went from incredibly precise to vague and not helpful across the ingredient list and 4 sentence recipe. Exact grams of butter/sugar/flour, then Milk. And maybe eggs, if you want.

WAFFLE RECIPE
Vanilla waffles

150g butter or margarine
200g sugar
Vanilla sugar
1/2 tsp salt
250g plain flour
1 scant tsp baking powder
1-2 Tbsp cream
Milk

How to make: Combine the butter, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar, flour, baking powder and cream. Mix well. Add milk until your batter has the right consistency. If you want to use eggs in the batter, mix these in together with the other ingredients.

The recipe does not say what the right consistency is, how much milk or vanilla sugar to use (or what that even is) or how many eggs would be recommended.

So here's a picture of the icy water

A concrete dock runs along the top of the frame. There is an emergency ladder between two of the pillars.

The water beneath the dock is full of chunks of ice. Big hearty pieces that were bashed apart by previous ferries. The ones closest to the dock have started freezing together again.

Tried some new techniques, making @governorwalz.mn.gov's turkey trot tater tot hot dish. Blanching green beans, making a super cheesy roux sauce, any kind of casserole for this family, enough butter to appease Paula Dean. Looks a hot mess, but tastes amazing. As it should.

Serving of the hot dish on my plate. You can make out green beans, bacon, and mushrooms in this yellowy-grey mush. You have to trust me that it was amazing.

I had to buy the print and play version of Bugsnax after the store I ordered it from sold it to someone else instead of telling me it arrived, so I needed to repaint one of my other board game boxes to store it. I think it turned out pretty good for a freehand rush job. @younghorses.com

My pharmacy has their own line of holiday mustard? And it's popular enough to have a regular and a year specific recipe?

Google translate has finally figured out I curse like someone from Ohio. Though maybe this line from the Swedish preschool's blog might actually mean something else.

Swedish above English translation. The original Swedish is "Det är jätte gott!" The English that translate has output is "it's fucking good!" Jätte generally just means Really.

That's kinda mean to our cat, weather app. Fog may be getting older, but she's not dense.

Notification that dense fog is expected tomorrow.

My oldest loves bright orange clothes, but the styles around here have been much more muted colors. So I bought him a pair of white pants and we dyed them ourselves. So happy with how they came out.
