Just lil ol me taking my gargantuan cat Buster to the vet. (Actual photos of Buster in first comment)
Latest visitor to the yard. First time I ever saw an opossum I was in my teens and thought it was a giant rat. Scared the crap out of me 😝 (If you have sound on and notice wheezing in the background, that’s my cat Buster. It’s perfectly normal for him.)
Sure it’s just a movie, but I had a hard time believing Odysseus could still string that bow after hanging out with Calypso for SEVEN years. He’d be like, “this is embarrassing, I used to do this all the time, I mean it’s not like I could work out on that island, I lost a TON of muscle mass…”
Just tossing this out there: Jimothy is what a Smart Car Transformer would turn into…
We both just stood still and stared at each other for a few seconds. I said out loud that I didn’t mean him any harm and walked slowly in the opposite direction. We’re pals now I think 😆
Got an unusual visitor at the feeder this evening. The crows seem unconcerned though. (The second clip is from an upstairs window)
I don’t know what device you’re using but on iPhone it’s the middle icon at the bottom. The speech balloon with dots in it
Yesterday we interred my sister’s ashes. Today I came across a program for a children’s play we wrote back in 1980. Diana’s script and lyrics were clever and witty, whereas I had no clue how to write for children’s voices so the music director had to make extensive revisions. But it was fun anyway ☺️
This is Buster getting his morning massage. Normal cats would flee in terror from the noise, but Buster is decidedly not normal.
I’ve had plenty of different kinds of birds in the yard, but this is the first time I’ve had ducks show up
Today would have been Peggy’s 77th birthday. I was thinking about her yesterday when I happened to hear the song Heart of Gold. It felt appropriate because to me “heart of gold” described her so well. And I didn’t even have to cross an ocean for her.
There’s a closet in the “spare” bedroom where a bunch of miscellaneous junk is stored. One day I left the door open, Margay went in, and promptly decided the back corner is the Best Napping Spot Ever! I tried to get a picture of her sleeping in there. She wasn’t pleased about being disturbed…
