Implemented presenter's view in Quarkfoil using Reveal.js's own features github.com/juanjosegarc...
Turns out I needed a spring-coil image in one slide. In Quarkfoil it's easy: use the parameterized plot feature to write a Javascript formula for it! Over 500 slides authored in 1 week, from broken Powerpoint and Libreoffice decks. Check it out at github.com/juanjosegarc...
It turns out the paradigm is good not only for heavy-text slides, but also for the type of slides I make, with more pictures than text 3/
Working with Codex, we have made a very nice and simple "powerpoint". Browser and Markdown based, with Reveal.js and KaTeX as backends for presentation and equations, opinionated defaults and the goal that they can be directly uploaded to my webpage. I will be authoring a summer school with it. 1/
I present you all the continuously measured version of Schrodinger's cat.
We close the Benasque Quantum Optics conference series of invited talk with Dominik Schneble (Stony Brook) on doing waveguide QED with matter waves benasque.org/2026qsi/
And this, my friends, is why you have to run agents (claude code, codex, etc) in virtual images or separate computers without sensitive data

If you need a reminder of how important water is for life, compare that tiny tea leaf at the bottom with its hydrated siblings at the top

This week I will be teaching superconducting circuits at Univ. Palermo, hosted by Prof. Francesco Ciccarello and the Quantum Theory Group. Looking forward to an exciting lecture sprint.
Our institute's building will be located in a rather central part of Madrid, the former Instituto Cajal, which will be renovated to incorporate 16 modular labs, a small prototyping clean room, a startups incubator, a separate auditorium and room foor 200 people. We will move in 2029 3/
Our research covers all four pillars of quantum technologies, building on our strong theoretical core in quantum computing and quantum information, strengthening experimental capabilities, which currently focus on quantum communication and sensing. 2/
This is great. Now students can also fake manuscript documents openai.com/index/introd...
Running Gemma 4 locally in llama.cpp Not too bad performance to be just CPU-bound
