I knew that Temur Battlecrier would be very good in Fluros & Tana, but I didn't realize it would be insane. The fact that Fluros's trigger when I cast a creature making a 4/4 can count for extra discount is really spicy.
Been reminded it's been quite a while since I posted about Fluros and Tana. So here's some updates: The sheer number of X/4s or 4/Xs which create artifact tokens is surprising but very welcome.
Unsurprising since it's my favorite card in Magic but I have Rankle in 5 of my Commander decks.
This can be contrasted with a card like Victimize where the sacrifice is part of the resolution of the spell, so if the creature you sacrifice has a death trigger it is delayed until after Victimize has brought your two dead creatures back. Note: I'm not a judge, just researched these.
MTG reminder for all (but mostly for myself): when you sacrifice a permanent as part of a cost, its death trigger goes on the stack on top of the effect of your sac outlet. So if you sac World Shaper to Altar of Dementia you're technically supposed to bring the lands back before you mill.

Ashling, the Limitless might be the most "made for me" commander ever. Here's why: I love elementals! They're weird and wild, and kinda Pokemon-like. They also have so many different neat abiltiies.
I don't have a deck idea, I just want to shout out a lands matters card I think is neat: Trove Warden
Looked at the TMNT set for the first time today, and I do like the cards for what they are (the cartoon song lyric class cards amuse me greatly), but damn do I need to take a break from acquiring new cardboard for a bit. That said, might eventually build Leo + Dragon Throne #pendragonMTG
A huge thanks to @etherdiver.bsky.social for the cover art! Look at this amazing work:
Nothing at all, just need inspiration and certainty that I will enjoy a Commander to build it. Actually just finished my Kagemaro deck.
Building this for Commander, and since I have no idea I'll ask here: rhymes with Kyle or Chile? Or something else altogether?
What product exactly is this card in? Trying to find specifics beyond "Final Fantasy Commander product released on Dec. 5th" is proving exceedingly difficult.
With Kess dismantled and largely converted into Veyran, and (at the time) Taigam using my Dimir cards, that left the Rakdos portion of my former Kess deck without a home. This changed when Juri, Master of the Revue came out. Now I still have and play Juri quite often. 17/18
Truth be told, I don't really remember what cards I had in my Kess deck back then. It didn't leave much of an impression. When Veyran, Voice of Duality was previewed I immediately jumped ship to that Commander who was much more to my liking for a spellslinger deck. 16/18
However, I had fooled myself into thinking the descendant of "loop/reanimate Gary" could be anything other than "loop/reanimate Kokusho (or Keiga)". 15/18
I bring Raff up though becauuse more recently, for a brief time I had Renari & Scion of Halaster put together. This deck was the sequel to Raff and Taigam. It was about flashing in and reanimating dragons. 14/18
