Starting with my birthday, our local weather did not disappoint. We may have had some rainy days, but it at least made up for some intriguing skies 🥰☁️🌈 #LAwx #CloudscapeClub #HelloSummer

While there was an 80% chance of rain for my 40th birthday (what irony lol), the day ended on a high note as I caught this rainbow heading east to get home🥰 Photo taken in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

By Thursday, I started seeing more photogenic cumulus towers closer to home with a mix of stratus clouds before a passing shower rolled through. Photo taken in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

For the last day of May, I stepped outside to find that we were on the backside of a storm trying to do something. No rain fell, but it gave this amazing view in my mom's front yard. Photo taken in Gonzales, Louisiana.

With the storm clouds comes the mammatus just to my east in the front yard. The sun hitting them made them stand out even more so

It has arrived...my final day of my 30s. Feels weird even saying that and honestly, it's been a journey! With that, I share a still shot from my 1st live weather video shot on campus at SELU in May 2008 during finals week. That was my closest call with lightning to date!

It was in this moment, I just knew that lightning strike was behind me as I was wrapping my first-ever weather video. I had my middle school friend behind the camera the entire time and we were both shook in this moment. We couldn't wrap this fast enough🤣⚡️

Two more days in the 30s and it got harder to pick the final favorites. Today's favorite weather photo was post-recording my annual weather show with my friend and former professor Dr. Narro. Can't wait to schedule this year's show...SOON!

We've been close since I took her class in 2009 and recording radio shows since 2017. I am eternally grateful for Dr. Narro giving me a platform to showcase my knowledge and gift year after year. It never gets old!

Down to the final three days of 39...today's favorite weather photo was from our snow day in 2017. Mind you we NEVER have snow like this so far south. Baton Rouge looked like Colorado and of course, there was just pure joy on my face😄

We don't get snow days in southern Louisiana often, but when we do, I take full advantage of them! I was in between laughter and smiles as I was getting covered in actual powder in December 2017

Down to the last four days of my 30s and today's favorite weather photo comes from my 1st and only storm chase to date in 2012. I had to stop for a quick selfie in Kansas with my classmates shortly after the wind took my hat into the wheat field. Kansas winds are intense!🤣😂

June 2012: As a nice storm structure was building behind me, I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a selfie. The winds in the Plains are brutal, but I wouldn't have had it any other way for my first chase/field study!

The birthday countdown continues as I'm now five days away from the next decade! Today's favorite weather photo is from my internship at one of our local stations in 2018. I was an older intern at 32, but that experience was everything!

After getting through a bad case of the flubbers and giggles (sorry, no teleprompters for the weather), I was proud to get through a solid quick cast during my internship at WBRZ in Baton Rouge. A time was had and sacrifices were made to get there, but it was worth it!

I was supposed to start way sooner but better late than never! Only six more days until I turn the page to Chapter 40, so I'll celebrate by sharing my top favorite weather photos. Today's photo was my last day in Colorado in December 2019. The snow machine started hours before my departure😂

After layering up as best as possible, I had my cousin capture a glimpse of pure bliss in the Colorado snow on my uncle's patio! Little did I know there would be a blizzard warning after taking off for Louisiana an hour or so after this photo was taken LOL! I can't wait to go back and visit!

Today, I am exhausted and between the horrible tornadoes last night and news of today, my heart is heavy. Alas, it is my last sleep before Vegas! I look forward to this reset and hope that my poster is seen as I kick off celebrating 40 right🙏🏾❤️

I may have sacrificed sleep last night, but it was worth getting this poster put together to support my team and celebrating my milestone birthday all at the same time 😄

As I am now 26 days away from the next decade, my childhood BFF has reached the milestone today! To celebrate, I'm sharing a classic throwback of us during Rivalry Week on Gator Day as Freshmen in 2000. We were ready to hunt! Happy 40th Birthday Stacie🥳❤️🙏🏾

Besties since 1991, this is a blast from the past during the week East Ascension High was playing St. Amant High which is the biggest rivalry in our hometown. We were ready in our camouflage and war face paint to hunt for gators....good times! Photo taken in September or October 2000 in English 1 class.

While I'm normally not a fan of myself on recordings, I found this clip from a Q&A I did in 2022 about weather-related pet peeves cleaning my laptop up. I still feel very strongly about this even now... please stop harassing the meteorologists and forecasters!
