The wildfire smoke around the Chicago area is so bad that, since my balcony door isn’t airtight, I am sitting in my living room in a mask to avoid the smoke smell. I took a photo of how bad the smoke looks if you step outside.

I got one of the Blockees Sonata Prologue DaaLaMode Hatsune Miku ball jointed doll blind boxes! I ended up with the Heavy Metal one, and the quality is much better than I expected for a $20-ish figure. She also comes with one totally blank face plate, molded plastic boots and three pairs of hands

For a sense of scale, here’s how the newer 30ms Sisters Sourei compares to the 2021 (I believe) Luluce set that only came with a shield and bear ears and the 2024 Idolmaster Kogane Tsukioka kit that turned out a bit larger and and with more elaborate parts.
Okay, 30 Minutes Sisters Sourei model kit is finished! It’s an exceptionally detailed kit in this Bandai Namco line and I recommend it. The downside is that her oni samurai armor is super limiting. My recommendation is to only have one of those armored pieces on at once.
Armor is on! Remember how initially I hated the loose neck joint? I now love it. Those restrictive armor parts would never have gotten on without the ability to pop off her head!
The “basic” version of Sourei is done! Just need to finish the sword and armor pieces. I’m still not happy or confident in that neck joint, and the left leg’s hip joint was a pain to get onto the post for some reason.
Oh no! It’s already an adorable model! And really easy to build, though the neck joint is a bit flimsy.
What’s neat is the face plate for this expression even had a separate, super teeny piece for her teeth. (TEETH TEETH TEETH TEETH)
Finally building a backlog model kit today! Ironically, I bought Shuremi on sale before I got 30 Minutes Sisters Sourei, but I’m putting this one together first.
