i ride bikes and hate the government opinions my own @muggso on tiktok @jmkauff on insta 🏳️🌈🏙️🚴♂️ 🏔️🌲
and it used to go all the way to the county line! (and further south to laurelhurst, to be fair)
this is amazing! heads up you can definitely take a bike on and off at klamath falls, it is a very popular starting destination for several bikepacking routes in oregon
can’t wait to splat into the back of a bus in the bike lane while descending at 30mph 👍
what is the point of a bus lane if it’s so full of cars that the buses aren’t even using it?
broadway still bumping an hour after pridefest’s official closure. can we do this every weekend? or just permanently?
took this picture at the SLU weekend market ready to bitch about shutting down the only street in the neighborhood with a protected bike lane, and then two blocks later discovered a much larger market on 6th ave which they are planning to fully move to after this year!
it’s very exciting to see a restaurant you’ve been going to years having good politics <3
new york is 87% islands so uhhh i don’t think that bodies of water are a good excuse for bad urbanism. it’s also just as glacially formed with a good number of hills (the lenape called their home manahatta, the island of many hills)
oh hey look it’s my FIFI report from a week and a half ago with this same issue and conclusion…
bike lane so fresh it’s still closed! i love these bike parking areas that are *within* curb protection
i keep forgetting to post this but the other day this utility truck was completely blocking the burke gilman with no warning signs, detour signs, or flaggers. the road it was partially blocking of course had warning signs.
meanwhile, in reality, this is my actual proposal for a lake washington boulevard for everyone. drivers can still access homes and parking lots, while bike/walk/roll folks have permanent safe access instead of on-again-off-again summer weekends
you’re going to have to believe me that i also saw an amtrak cascades train here but i was climbing on my fixie and couldn’t take a picture
mega foamer moment as this gravel barge and sounder train are passing the ballard locks at the exact same time
never fails to amuse me how much smaller the bremerton fast ferries are than the boats on less-busy routes to kingston and southworth. the bremerton route carries more passengers than kingston and southworth combined
i’ve forgotten what it was like for cairo hill station to have a functioning elevator
amtrak equipment shortage is fun cause you get northeast-corridor branded cafe cars on cascades trains
but it’s cool that you can basically be inside a sound transit construction zone
