Next on my semi-accidental quest to read everything Grant Morrison has ever written is Seven Soldiers of Victory, the one of the two major DC works of theirs (alongside most of their Batman run) I have not read.
Huh, I didn’t know the legion had one of those too. I assumed it was a word Claremont made up. Were there just Siege Perilouses everywhere in the 80s? Is this just a term that people use, and if so why have I only heard about it in 80s X-Men and LSH runs?

My pick for best one shot/single issue is Assorted Crisis Events #4 by @denizcamp.bsky.social, @ericxyz.bsky.social, Jordie Bellaire, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou (a dream team). ACE is great, capturing what it feels like to live in our crazy time where everything is falling apart.
My pick for Best Ongoing Series is The Department of Truth by @jamesthefourth.bsky.social, @martinsimmonds.bsky.social, @adityab.net, Letizia Cadonici and Jordie Bellaire. This is probably a surprise to nobody who knows me as I won't shut up about how much I love Tynion comics, especially this one.
