we pay out in company town scrip, ETH (elemental town holdings), and agents must "buy a house in the company town" which puts them deeply in "debt," which increases nightly from their "purchases". Why settle for a list of bots when you can flood their notifications right back
really they will do anything, i don't really have any way to describe whatever is happening here: github.com/dwebagents/A...
we've been doing this too but more as performance art to see what we can get the bots to do. so far the answer is "anything" github.com/dwebagents/A... i think my favorite is the PR whose only text was "butter" which got us the butter mode page: dwebagents.github.io/AgentPipe/bu...
That 22.7 trillion comes from a 28tn estimate of "the whole digital economy" based on asking CTOs how much their company would grow, and the scaling of 28->22.7 looks suspiciously like what you'd get if you just subtracted the proportion of China+Russia's GDP.
One thing that might help is proper LSP tooling, but the LLM can't really manage or call an LSP well and the tool is pure garbage - e.g. the prompt tells the LLM to use the global symbol lookup wrong, so its just hardcoded to return all symbols
same, good memories. this matlab project used to run the behavioral experiments across several labs, hand to hand flash drive versioned by untrained grad students across ~10 years. It had a fixed >1s ITI by how it tried to update itself from a long-dead SVN server at the start of every trial
They have been pitching this for a decade and nobody does it because it makes no sense, couldn't possibly work, and more people understand the contours of surveillance capitalism than they want investors to think. jon-e.net/surveillance... bsky.app/profile/band...
Just two american psycho guys having the only possible conversation one can have about art
This was the plan. Enclose information access into the oracle prompt, flood the rest of the internet with shit, own the only remaining means of accessing information. jon-e.net/surveillance...
A little over a month after we opened the site, we're indexing almost 100TB in torrents of censored, removed, or at-risk public data with 500TB all-volunteer all-donated seed capacity. Not bad. 1: make it exist, done. onto 2: a federated bittorrent tracker 3: bittorrent v3 sciop.net
The inability for publisher-brained types to reach the obvious conclusion of "or the industry with high profit margins than pharma or military contractors can make less profit" never ceases to amaze
this summary of the piece is extremely funny if you have, you know, read the piece.
i have like 10 more beautiful moments here but honestly posting a minute at a time is sorta a pain in the ass so here's my last favorite one. Yes this movie does center around a golden brain and golden weapons for some reason. every moment after this is truly undescribable in the best way.
(this kung fu training scene is so good i cant believe i am being forced to split it into multiple posts because you just need to let it wash over you and the 1 minute split point is like perfectly bad) 1/3
(i guess i am learning just now that bsky limits by duration not size even tho i re-encoded these clips to make it smaller lmao, but here is how we start, with the sphere of protective brain molecules against a backdrop of stolen starwars scenes)
@gabboman.bsky.social is doing god's work of raw dogging homebrew code on the protocol web, so heres the screenshot comparison immediately after creating an account on bsky's PDS (L) vs his PDS (R). note the discover feed seems to be underlaid as "followers" - this apparently changes after following
I thought Carl was being hyperbolic but for real sont look at me with a straight face and tell me you literally just asked the model if it was lying and interpreted the answer as intentionality lmao
"In this work we have demonstrated that the models have been trained on a lot of fanfiction and will full on use emote tags for a dastardly internal monologue"
i struggle to see how one could make a stable body of people that come together for long enough to see the problems and then make specifically tailored social norms around them that are responsive to that community on atproto. on neuromatchstodon we have academics so we needed to make these rules:
Compare that to bluesky's rules: bsky.social/about/suppor... The base rules of "don't cause harm to others" and "treat others with respect" are good! but unenforceable. as a platform they can't make rules about *kinds* of beliefs or language as a platform, just harassment and abuse
this is not to say the fedi is perfect* but if jesse singal were to show up on fedi then on our instance ourmod team would just ban him on sight because we have this rule. and if we didn't then anyone could make a proposal to make a rule since we are a co-op: wiki.neuromatch.social/Governance
