I always enjoy the unusual viewpoints site visits can present, as well as the opportunity to discover gems within a space.
Today I finally got around to painting the stepping stone turtle @dysheki.bsky.social got me a few years ago. I figured it was time now that we have a nice place to put it in the back yard. Definitely sticking to my day job, as I'm not winning any awards with this, but it was fun! 😊
Two very, very hard days of hard labor digging, putting down fabric, planting, and mulching, but the tier is done!! Thanks to Mom for her help, and also to Will's Tree Service for very quickly addressing some tree trimming. It will be great to enjoy our new and improved back yard!
Yay for no more failing hillside! Can't wait to put down plants and mulch this weekend!
To celebrate her 50 years of hosting the Patriotic Interfaith Service, as well as her amazing community service as an educator, Flight 93 National Memorial ambassador, & all around community service person, my Mom was named Honorary Grand Marshall for this year's Independence Day parade in Latrobe.
Had so much fun touring Portland and visiting with with friends. Rode a bike for the first time in 10+ years. Saw a tiller. Amazing day.
Volunteering for the Lemieux Foundation for the Icons car show definitely has its perks. 😍

It only took us 2 years to finally buy and build the backyard shed, but in 6 hours @dysheki.bsky.social and I put her together today. So glad with how it turned out, and can't wait for the rear landscape walls next!
First official conference presentations done! Conquered a major fear of public speaking, had an amazing time with old friends and made so many wonderful new connections in a truly beautiful place. 💖
It may not be our wedding anniversary, but I'll take any chance to celebrate good things that I can. Eight years together and I love you more every day. Thank you for always having my back @dysheki.bsky.social 💗
In 2018 I randomly got the opportunity to witness a presentation at the Air and Space Museum with Astronaut Victor Glover, now part of the Artemis II mission. He will be the Person of Color to travel to the vicinity of the moon. Godspeed on the rest of your journey, Captain!
Absolutely fabulous early birthday celebration for my best friend! Made our own candles at Mix Candle Co. on the South Side, then an amazing dinner at Nan Xiang Dumplings Pittsburgh. 10/10 afternoon. No notes.
