Christine hooked me up with the Firecracker Pop Oreo. They nailed the flavor, blue raspberry is strong. Found the new Little Debbie Fudge Round Creme Pies. They’re good… but Little Debbie: please release a Fudge Round with the peanut butter creme… but double the creme amount. Trust me, I’m husky.
Braveheart is on Tubi, in the past month I’ve watched bits and pieces of it well over a dozen times. Every time I think, Angus Macfadyen should have been in more films, and been a much bigger deal. I see there is a Robert The Bruce film from 2019. I gotta watch it. He needs a resurgence.
The Strike is a relatively new band for me, found them last year. Their music is really good, seeing them live at The Basement East was absolutely nothing but joy. If you get a chance, go see them.
Country Fried Steak Biscuit, hashbrowns, bacon, and a pancake at Sweetmilk. Everything was solid, but that pancake is ridiculously good.
Meant to get something different from my usual at Angry Dumplings, but they were so busy I didn’t want to hold up folks. Next time! PS: the usual was fantastic, that’s why it’s the usual.
Great event tonight at The Bottom: Gardens, Porches & Lawns: Images from The Bottom. Dr. Enkeshi El-Amin presented archival photos of the old neighborhood, pre-urban renewal, and the group discussed what was in the photos. Fascinating to see a historic part of our town.
Great lunch catch up with Elisa Trentham at Holy Land Market, getting to hear about her time in Leadership Knox and her next adventure.
Always great seeing my buddy @billywaynedavis.bsky.social perform. This time at Eulogy thanks to Modelface Comedy. First time seeing Angie Schultz and Ben Jennings, looking forward to seeing them more.
Finally did it, met the man the myth the legend that is Wayne White. It’s been so great to have his Knoxville Girl show here at the Knoxville Museum Of Art.
Saw my friend Izzy perform this evening with The Follies Girls at the Broadway Academy Of Performing Arts. Great show, lots of talented burlesque performers.
Stopped in to the Knoxville Museum Of Art with CJ to see Wayne White’s Revenge Of The Knoxville Girl installation. This coming weekend is its finale. If you’ve yet to go, make time to see it. I am probably gonna end up back out there, still have yet to meet Wayne, need to make that happen.
The limited edition Cinnamon Bun Oreo are now available… and I will end up buying 5 to 37 packs of these before they are no longer in stock. Doritos back there judging my decisions.
Pineapple BBQ chicken flatbread (Barbeque sauce base topped with mozzarella, shredded grilled chicken, bacon, fresh granny smith apples, drizzled with homemade pineapple BBQ sauce) and onion rings at The Iron Forge Brewing Company new location at Covenant Health Park.
Show me your 1989 Batman shirt. The one, or more, that you had. Can't believe I found it. This thing was grey-grey by the time I got finished with it.
Apparently I'm not trustworthy, and don't post a ton. Not sure the latter is a bad thing. #yougottajustkeeplivinmanLIVIN
Share a movie soundtrack you love #SoundtrackLove Say what you will of the film, this is a top 3 score for me.
Went to dinner at Ale’ Rae’s with dad tonight. We both took photos of our food… forgot to take a photo together. 🤦🏼♂️
Back at Jackie’s Dream, I seem to keep getting the same thing. I need to mix it up next time.
I don’t know much about BTS’ music, but their collab with Oreo is absolutely delicious. Says it’s brown sugar pancake flavored.
He has a pay phone stand hooked up with a camera and a microphone in the phone itself. It would light up, he’d perform directly to it, which the payphone’s vantage point would then be projected on the big screen.
Saw one of my favorite bands, Lord Huron, this past Sunday in Asheville. Been with them from the first EPs, and they are one of the most consistently great bands. Each album is unique, yet their style carries through. On this tour Ben Schneider was doing something cool…
Headed over the mountain this past weekend to @heroesonline.bsky.social. Mainly spent time with friends, meeting some legends of the comic industry. Got to tell Jeph Loeb how much Superman: For All Seasons meant to me, that I’ve bought 50+ copies to give to friends when they have kids.
