Florence Pugh’s character and performance really did make Midsommar an engaging experience. A closer character study of her grief and malleability, with less emphasis on supporting characters, would be watchable on its own.
Avatar does have dazzling, detailed effects, with incredible movement and mechanics. To the point that nearly every other movie that has attempted since hasn’t achieved the same levels with similar technology.

Organising my books while listening to Hammer Time podcast when I stumbled upon this massive tome, featuring the prose version of The Curse of Frankenstein by Jimmy Sangster, however to my knowledge, John Burke was the writer. I feel like @eofftv.bsky.social would know the answer.

R.I.P Nicholas Brendon. This one really stings. Buffy was huge to me in my formative years. It’s a show I still love, and got my partner obsessed with in recent years, and Xander was a layered and fucked up character who was always given heart and humour by Brendon’s performance.
