A huge thank you to the hundreds of residents in Queen’s Gate, Abingdon, Holland and Campden wards who braved the heat and came to my recent community coffee mornings.
An inspiring visit the Supplementary Schools Exhibition in North Kensington with Councillor Abdullahi Nur and Councillor Nadia Nail last month. 📽️ shot by Westway Trust
Lunch at the brilliant Sporting Club London in North Ken in the sunshine yesterday. IYKYN…
A fantastic evening at the SEBRA Summer Party! Great to catch up with so many residents and, of course, to have the honour of drawing the famous raffle. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible, and to John, Steve and the team for making SEBRA the success that it is.
I continue to be very concerned about Thames Water and their performance. We’ve now learned that they have slowed their rate of reporting pollution incidents by 70% since 2022.
Sir Keir Starmer left our country in a better place than when he found it. His record is lifting 500,000 children out of poverty, reducing NHS waiting times by 400,000, introducing the Hillsborough Law...
Tonight, we passed the Hillsborough Bill in the House of Commons, which I'm sure in decades to come will deliver a shift in power in this country away from the state, and towards openness and accountability.
I’ve heard strongly from our Iranian and Jewish communities of their concern about hostile state backed threats on British soil, including from the IRGC.
A lovely visit to Monica Eter inside the Portobello Arcade where they make all their own candles, scents and perfume. A brilliant local business on the rise!
My constituent Billy Hood has been in jail in the UAE for the past 5 years. This November he will turn 30. He is a father and a son, and his family desperately want him home.
The process for selecting a new Leader of the Labour Party started this morning. You asked me what this will look like - here's how it works.
Farage is up to his neck in sleaze, and his latest stunt does nothing to dispel the many serious questions that remain about his finances and conduct. If he beats Binface and is re-elected in Clacton, the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards should resume their investigations without delay.
Good week to remind those who seem to have forgotten about the Nolan Principles that guide public life…
This morning I was proud to nominate Andy Burnham to be the next Leader of the Labour Party and our next Prime Minister.
Nigel Farage has resigned, but today’s stunt only reaffirms the questions he has to answer on his finances. He can’t evade this much longer.
It was an honour to join the New West End Synagogue community for the induction and welcome of Rabbi Aaron and Rebbetzen Miriam Lipsey. Congratulations to the Chairman Jeff Altman and everyone involved in a beautiful event.
Politicians should serve the people who elected them, not billionaires based overseas.
The questions keep coming for Nigel Farage, his money and who pulls his strings. There are now four separate lines of inquiry on his finances, properties, and potential conflicts of interest.
Today we were out and about - as we have been consistently since the General Election two years ago - listening to residents, supporting them with local issues and taking feedback on national policies. This time with the very hardworking Bayswater and Lancaster Gate Labour teams.
The escalation in Sudan is horrifying, with civilians in El Obeid cut off from access to food, water and fuel as RSF drone strikes escalate. Hundreds of thousands of people are at grave risk. Sudan is one of the worst humanitarian situations in the world, and the conflict must end.
The best way to cool off after a busy day in the constituency! And a perfect excuse to finally drop in to Darlish Ice Cream who have just opened up their new shop in Notting Hill. Welcome to the neighbourhood! I think this will be the first trip of many... Have a great weekend everyone ☀️🍧
I spoke to @BenKentish.bsky.social on @LBC.co.uk about whose interests it was in for Nigel Farage to lobby the Bank of England for a major shift in cryptocurrency policy. Could is possibly be the man who has donated £25M to his party, and is his personal benefactor to the tune of £5M...? 🤔
There are many questions still to answer about the undeclared £5M Nigel Farage received from Thailand-based crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne. Farage says it's "literally none of your business". I disagree.
Small businesses like Ruth's are the lifeblood of our high streets and communities - and we discussed our campaign to save Cockney's from attempts to double her rent and push businesses like hers into extinction.
It was brilliant to bring Ruth - the long-time and brilliant owner of Cockney's Pie and Mash on Portobello Road - to meet the Chancellor at No.11 Downing Street this week.
A very happy Windrush Day to everyone in Kensington & Bayswater and all across London. On Windrush Day, we celebrate the Windrush Generation and their profound impact on our communities, schools, businesses, the NHS, and beyond.
Introducing the NEW Natural History GCSE 🌳🐙🐢🌺 Where better to announce the NEW Natural History GCSE than at the Natural History Museum here in South Kensington!?
The sun is shining and there’s a fantastic atmosphere in Makerfield today - people genuinely excited to head to the polls. Vote for Andy. Vote for Labour. Vote for Hope. 🌹🌹🌹
The regulation of the dockless e-bike sector clearly isn't working. @londoncentric.media even uncovered Lime offering a carve out for speed limits to delivery drivers using their product.
