I am very fortunate to have been able to contribute to the most recent Death Battle. Thank you to everyone who worked on this project, and gave me some shots I am very proud of
Happy Kirby Air Riders day today. Happy to show an update on a little Kirby project of my own. Stick around, I hope to share something worth getting excited about #kirby #kirbyairriders #animation
Here’s something I made for @portfolioday.bsky.social a few years back for the other place. I think it’s still fun, but I hope I can get something updated for the not too distant future
We've reached the end of the videos I prepared, and at the end of any project is the question of what comes next. I've got a few things in the works, and my plan is to share some pieces as they are presentable. In the meantime, thank you for watching, and I look forward to what comes next
It's important to remember that you are constantly in a state of learning. Looking back at a section like this, I see things that I would clean up now, but it was a step I needed to take to get where I am. While my standard has gotten more strict , I am proud that pieces like this are still fun
Fun little tidbit, I generally try to focus my action in the center of the frame, and if I need to have action travel across the frame, I try to bring it through the center. Its worked pretty well for readability and feeling the action in the past
I'll sometimes make a proof of concept sequence when working on a fight. This was the first sequence that was animated/rendered for this fight, and it is a contender for my favorite piece I've ever animated
I like imbalanced fights. There is a tendency for fights to try to find equilibrium, but an element of satisfying fights is changing the fight state. Intentionally playing with this balance, making a back and forth, can add to compelling fight narrative
I've had a few over the years, but I think Nidoking hits the sweet spot
Is it too much to ask for butterfree to be meta in the games? They deserve it
