On July 5th, 2026 4:00AM EST(6h40m from now), I'll be doing a Front Page Twitch showcasing various amounts of games I've speedran over the years, closing it out with the usual Sonic 2 grind. Here is the lineup of games I'll be playing. Hope to see you there! Twitch: www.twitch.tv/joeybaby69
I'll be doing my very first Twitch Front Page on July 5th 2026, which ends exactly once SGDQ 2026 starts. Probably want to derust a bunch of Sonic games for the occasion...
15. Popful Mail (Sega CD) Randomly played through this game casually and I really loved it. Decided to mess with a bit of routing and even went as far as learn a quick kill on the first boss, but It's a long action RPG so didn't invest too much to it. Great game. Popful Mail herself god DAMN!
14. Ristar Literally everything I said for Rocket Knight can be applied here. The run looks fun as fuck so I messed with some levels, but at some point just stopped. Really need to expand my Sega Genesis speedrun repertoire.
13. Rocket Knight Adventures A game that crossed my mind when I was in one of my "Sonic 2 Joker Arc" and I wanted to get away from that blue fuck, so messed with this game for a bit. Learned like the first few levels and then I just kinda stopped. No rhythm or reason. Was fun when I did played it.
12. Hard Corp Uprising Underrated gem. This is Contra developed by Arc System Works, developers behind Guilty Gear. Fun as hell, but it's a game that was only released digitally via XBLA and PSN - No PC release. Tedious to acquire + the fastest way to play Arcade Mode is with a DLC character. Cool
11. Portal One of my favorite games of all time, so much to the point that I wouldn't wanna taint my casual replays of this game. This extends to Portal 2 as well. I love the puzzle solving, so knowing the answers off-rip from extensive speedruns sounds kinda lame. The speedrun does look fun tho.
10. Banjo Kazooie Great game that I occasionally replay often. The 100% speedrun however feels do daunting for how dying is extremely costly as you lose all your notes, on top of the run being pretty long. Also speedruns that requires me to use that flimsy ass N64 stick? No thanks.
9. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back My favorite of the Crash Trilogy. I watch SuPeRbOoMfAn's runs of this a lot, but it seems like it's an obnoxious run with an input drop problem on some levels. Apparently it also has load time problems if your PS2 gets too hot. Headaches all around.
8. Spyro the Dragon Love this game to bits. There isn't a really specific reason on why I don't speedrun this outside of just it being low on my priority list. It's on a console I haven't dabbled with + other games would catch my attention before Spyro does.
Finally got the 35:xx in Mega Man X 100%! Huge weight off the shoulders.
7. Mario Party 2 The Minigame coaster run to be exact. Fun fact, my first ever stream was this speedrun back in 2016. Had no idea how to make a layout so I had a stretched out gamefeed, with fat anime ass taking 40% of the screen. Someone said hi in my chat and I got scared and ended stream frame 1
6. Pokemon Crystal The other Pokemon game I really like. I didn't have space to mention this in the Black/White 1 post, but a game's length to complete is always daunting to me. There's a lot of aspects of the run that looks neat, but then I realize how much of a time sink it'd be. Still goated.
5. Super Monkey Ball 1 This is peak gaming right here. Expert+Master specifically, so this games speedrun really intimidates me for how precise it is. I feel like Shulk from Xenoblade looking into the future and seeing myself in a mental asylum for what this game will do to me.
4. Sonic Spinball This is probably the only game I ever learned the whole speedrun of, streamed attempts of it, and then decided mid-stream that I wasn't having any of it. The Any% run of this game was some form of torture. Dogshit.
3. Shantae & The Pirates Curse Cool game casually, so I thought about the speedrun. Went to the Discord to learn about the speedrun, and then I was told that PS4 was the best version of the game (which I didn't own), and the PC version can randomly crash (which I was considering), so I was like lol
2. Pokemon Black/White 1 It's one off, if not my favorite Pokemon games, so the idea crossed my mind. Too bad Gen 5's RNG manip is like learning rocket science. Every DS is different, so there's an hour long tutorial on figuring out the RNG on your own DS, so setup is painstakingly long.
1. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle It's definitely one of those "I'd rather watch than play" kind of runs. Really enjoy when others tackle it cause the movement looks sick, but the typical Emerald Hunting stuff is what keeps me from ever bothering. I know myself enough that I'd lose my cool at them lmao
I forgot to post this yesterday, but got my 36:xx in Mega Man X finally. Very happy with my progress and couldn't have done it without the Mega Man X Community's help and support. 35:xx in the future maybe.
I hit the good ol' 31 today and the GF nabbed this sick ass Sonic poster from NY ComicCon this year for me. It was illustrated by the wonderful @yardleyart.bsky.social whom currently contributes to the Sonic IDW Comics. Had to put it in a nice gold frame. Also a cute Yoko Littner sticker to boot.
