Argentinian fans rally in Copenhagen before tonight‘s #WorldCup final.
Very impressed with Aalborg’s bike infrastructure and TRIPLE articulated (bendy) buses!
The Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft in Holmavik is pretty fun, and the pumpkin soup is good. Where can I get a set of “Necropants,” where money appears in the scrotum? Kohl’s maybe!
Some East Bay municipality really needs to enter into a sister city relationship with Hella, home of the American School Bus Café.
Costco in Iceland looks like if you asked AI to make a picture of a Costco: it’s close, but a little off and all the lettering is scrambled.
Watching #Superman on the plane, and it has some interesting edits. Guy is doing full-hand tank flips (instead of middle fingers), and he’s no longer “God-damn Mr. Terrific.”
GI Joe issue #29 (cover date of November 1984, but released a couple months earlier). Wow, Cobra sounds a lot like certain factions of our government.
Email in my quarantine from a local political candidate. That’s an unfortunate cutoff of the word “Assessor.”
I’m actually NOT seeing double here. I think Max Muncy’s team will win tonight.
Wrapping up my East Bay bike ride by taking in the Oakland Ballers, who have a free bike valet at the ballpark.
My haul from today’s Berkeley Comics Show, and a quick view of the floor.
It’s been a while since I posted a #CityHallSelfie, so here’s one from El Cerrito City Hall. I’m riding my bike on the Ohlone Greenway to the Berkeley Comic Show today.
If I hurt myself in Civic Center, could I actually get first aid here? Do any European tourists wander in thinking it’s a pharmacy? @peterhartlaub.bsky.social? @sfdph.bsky.social
If it was the Giants game, I just got back and you made the right choice.
Peninsula Clean Energy -- San Mateo County's local quasi-governmental alternate energy provider -- is changing it's name to WestLight Energy to be "clearer and better reflect the communities we serve." But the name absolutely does the complete opposite!
Bay Area Tranist pro-tip: If you fly into OAK and want to go to BART, AC Transit line 73 goes to Coliseum Station — same as BART connector and costs $2.50 compared to ~$7.90 for the connector, and only takes about 5 extra minutes.
Even after moving to the Bay Area and becoming a Giants fan, I’ll still say there are three great things about the Dodgers: Vin Scully, Dodger Dogs, and Dodger Stadium. 2/3 are still going strong.
