#hobbystreak day 151: No painting tonight. Planning for a Sunday game with the crew. We've got a scenario (one of the Scouring Sands ones), we just need to figure out sides (2v3), so we can fully build lists. Spoiler...I already have some very silly lists built.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Dragon Stars Super Saiyan 2 Goku. Got this at discount from Target as well. Rung up at half price, despite the sticker. It's ok. Aside from the head the poseablity is good...but the hair is so dark heavy he's hard to stand on his own.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: More fun with Battlecat! And size comparison.
#hobbystreak day 150: Got most of the tan base on the last two Urbies. I'll need to go back with a smaller brush tomorrow to hit parts I couldn't.
#hobbystreak day 149: Tan base on another Urbie. Plus some testing with my back-up for that paint color. Found out that it was too light, so going to have to find another bottle of something. Plus some theory talk with a buddy on my potential color scheme for the upcoming Ghost Bears opfor.
#hobbystreak day 148: In an effort to 'get through' them...i've started on all the rest of the Urbies for my company. Touch ups on all of them, then tan on one.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Found Battlecat half price at Target and couldn't resist. The core figure is amazing, the armor is ok. Might have to paint it some. Love tha that the jaw moves. Only downside is the head armor comes off too easy.
#hobbystreak day 147: Alpha Lance is done. Just sealing and bases left to go. And I'll likely just base the whole company at once.
#hobbystreak day 146: Lots of little touch-ups on the Crockett and 2nd Urbie. Plus decided to go with the metallic blue on the cockpits...so had to update the 1st Urbie and Highlander (not pictured)
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Bayverse Bumblebee. He's the only movie Transformer I have. He's old...like right after the first live action movie old. Kinda loose now, but still a decent bot.
#hobbystreak day 145: Brown wash and touch-ups on the Crockett and Urbie.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Here's my Power Rangers figures. Pink MM Ranger, Street Fighter X Power Rangers, TMNT X Power Rangers. Then a comparison of Kimberly Hart Pink Ranger and April O'Neil Pink Ranger.
#hobbystreak day 144: Green touch up wash, then black wash on all the metals. I'll get to brown tomorrow. And some more fun with metallics on the test Ymir.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: I purchased an extra Mjolnir, first picture on the right. Figured I'd use it for other figures mostly...but it won't fit in all hands. The left one works so much better for larger scale figures, even if the handle is short. So I guess Cap gets the new one for now...
#hobbystreak day 143: Lots of touch-ups on the Crockett and 2nd Urbie.
Tonight's movie. A genuinely fun and enjoyable movie. Simple plot, but on point. Fun and interesting action and plenty of great comedic bits. 10/10
#hobbystreak day 142: Got the tan painted on the 2nd Urbie and Crockett.
Action Figure Pic of the Day: Since I showed off the 'Turtle Shelf' yesterday, here's the movie Turtles (and ghostly Splinter) on another shelf. Movie Casey is off to the left.
#hobbystreak day 141: Some work on the 2nd Urbie and the Crockett at the FLGS. Not a huge fan of the Crockett, but it's what I got for now.
Action Figure Pic of the Day: My shelf of Turtle figures. Not all of them, the Power Rangers crossover ones and the movie ones are elsewhere.
#hobbystreak day 140: Just about done the Urbie. I think he looks ok at tabletop distance and not as good up close...but, for my sanity, he needs to get done. Then more testing metallic blue for cockpits. Leaning toward going with it over the normal blue.
#hobbystreak day 139: Some wash on the metallics on the first Urbie. Not sure he's turning out great, but i'll keep going. Then tests on some other models. Blue metallic cockpit glass on a test Ymir, plus some metallic red. Then same glass test on my test Jaegermech.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: In my efforts to find a rifle for Sundown, i've come up with two options. I looked online for others, but Valavere's lever action has no stock and the Gridiron one is too busy. So i've got Spirit's rifle and one from Rambo. Which one do y'all like better?
#hobbystreak day 138: Life decided to be interesting tonight. After 45 minutes of helping one of my players, I had to take care of mom for a bit, so actual painting was limited to priming some test models. Might have to find a new primer, mine took a while to actually work right.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Another new Joe, this time a brand new charcater: Sundown. As a figure he's quite cool, like the western theme. I wish he had extra hands, but Hasbro is like that. Background-wise, I like that he fits it much later G.I. Joe figure lore, name dropping Headman.
#hobbystreak day 137: A tiny bit more tan on the Highlander, in the middle of the head. I think that makes him about done. Then some touch-ups and washes on the Urbies.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: New Joe wave dropped. Here's Airtight, another that I really liked when I was younger. What he did wasn't important, he just looked cool and they did him justice. Not a ton of accessories, just his basic kit, so not an amazing figure, but I still dig him.
#hobbystreak: More base coats and touch ups on Urbies, but at least all the base coats are done on these two. Feel like every time I 'fix' something, it creates a new issue...but i'll get through it. Plus minor touch-ups on the Highlander. I think it's about done.
