The sculptor of this statue, Benjamin Victor, is a Boise native and a legend in his own field. He’s the only living artist with four works displayed at the US Congress’s National Statuary Hall. Really cool story
I’m really enjoying the variety in depictions of sapient and benevolent aliens in tentpole sci-fi movies lately. We’ve come a long way from guys in rubber masks (not that there was anything wrong with that). Who am I missing?
Took my family to New Orleans on the Amtrak yesterday. Did some NFL news happen
It is pretty funny that Texas Republicans are trying so hard to cast James Talarico as a deviant freak when he’s the most nondescript candidate possible. He’s smooth SpongeBob.
Interesting distribution for Super Bowl (red) and NFL Draft (blue) host cities since 2015. Obviously seasonality is a big factor but Super Bowls are almost exclusively played in warm-weather locations while the draft has had more flexibility.
Alvin Kamara says on Instagram he’s looking at joining some friends at a couple of sport fishing tournaments this summer. The dates he’s considering overlap with Saints voluntary OTAs on 6/1-4 and mandatory minicamp on 6/16-17.
I've got the Saints with 47 players invited to this weekend's rookie minicamp between tryouts, draft picks, undrafted free agents, and a handful of eligible players under contract (guys who didn't accrue a full season last year). We should get the official list by Friday.
I've got Saints rookie minicamp attendees at 37 names between draft picks, UDFAs, and tryouts. They had 41 players in 2025, 60 in 2024, and 48 in 2023 so there may not be many more to add. Could see some guys sign with other teams after trying out with other teams this weekend.
This will change, but for now, here's my guess at the New Orleans Saints depth chart after the draft and undrafted free agency. I have them at 88 of 90 roster spots filled. Names in gold are aged 30+, green are rookies. What stands out?
Here's a flow chart of the Saints' fifth year option decisions since the mechanic was introduced in 2011. They've had to decide on it for 14 of their 15 first-round picks, exercising it 10 times. 6 of those led to new deals with Chris Olave and Bryan Bresee TBD.
Took a couple of days off to catch up with the family while my daughter was on spring break. Now we’re back
The Atlanta Falcons' long-awaited latest rebrand just reinvented the 2011 Houston Texans uniforms. Outstanding job guys
Saints rostered 4 running backs, 6 receivers, and 3 tight ends for most of the 2025 season. Who are you picking to make the team in 2026? How many of those guys aren't on the team yet?
Checking in on Over The Cap's 2027 comp pick projections. Saints have added more than they've lost, so they need three more of their own free agents to leave on qualifying offers ($3M+ per year) to have a shot. Dillon Radunz Luke Fortner Cameron Jordan Foster Moreau Taysom Hill
With the first day of free agency winding down, here's a look at the Saints depth chart. Red names ended 2025 with injuries, gold are aged 30+. New jersey numbers not official. What stands out?
Cooked seafood and sausage gumbo to my grandparents. Can’t believe how well the oven roux method worked
Here's how this year's Saints NFLPA team report card compares to previous years, per ESPN. Couple of new categories this time for coordinators, position coaches, and GM
And a happy Jujutsu Kaisen Thursday to all who celebrate. Shout out to the Higuruma enjoyers
Here are the rules. Anyone picked in an expansion draft would have all current and future salary cap payouts (including signing bonus proration) covered by the new team. Which five players are you nominating?
Which NFL teams have played the most home games *at home* in the 17-game season era? Blue represents playoff games, red represents regular season games. Chiefs lead the league with 50, Saints and Jaguars tied for last at 40 each. Via @stathead.com
Updated New Orleans Saints depth chart projection after re-signing safety Julian Blackmon. This time without any pending free agents. Names in red ended the year on injured reserve, gold are aged 30 or older.
Not reporting anything but I expect a healthy trade market for Rattler this spring. Only one team can sign Malik Willis, just like only one (the Raiders) can draft Fernando Mendoza. He should draw real interest with as many as 10 teams looking for a QB.
