We mourn the loss of two more U.S. service members & extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends, & fellow service members. As we honor those lost, we must continue to demand answers, transparency, & accountability from those making decisions that place American troops in harm's way.
One post and we get blocked by Zach Lahn’s campaign on Instagram. Someone is having big feelings 🤣

Miller-Meeks was in Johnson County 3 times during the last congressional break & every single event was closed-door. Not 1 opportunity for residents to ask questions or hear from her. Just curated photo ops & social media posts trying to rebrand the shortcomings of the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
Happy Easter to all who celebrate! May this season of renewal bring hope, peace, and new beginnings to you and your loved ones.
During Women’s History Month, we’re proud to spotlight three incredible women advocates in Johnson County who are creating meaningful change in our community. This initiative, created by our DEI Committee, celebrates their leadership, compassion, and dedication to uplifting others.
We recognize and uplift the voices, experiences, and contributions of trans individuals today and every day. And we recommit ourselves to building a world where everyone is safe, respected, and empowered to be exactly who they are. You are seen. You are valued. You belong. 🩵🤍🩷🏳️⚧️

Today we celebrate by recognizing the diverse voices, talents, & leadership of women everywhere. We’re grateful for the women who shape our world every day. Let’s continue building spaces where women of all backgrounds and identities feel respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
We mourn the loss of the three American service members killed in the escalating conflict between the United States and Iran. We hold their loved ones in our hearts and honor their ultimate sacrifice. We are also thinking of those injured and praying for their full and speedy recovery.
The decision to bomb Iran raises serious concerns about proportionality, congressional authorization, and long-term strategy. The U.S. experience in Iraq and Afghanistan demonstrates that military force without a clear, achievable objective can spiral into decades of instability.
We honor the life and legacy of Jesse Jackson, a tireless champion for civil rights, economic justice, & political empowerment. He reminded us to “keep hope alive”. This is not just as a slogan, but a call to action. We remember his courage, his faith, & his unwavering commitment to justice.
Still thinking about this halftime show this morning. The only thing more powerful than hate is love.
This Black History Month, the Johnson County Democrats proudly honor the immeasurable contributions Black Americans have made to our community, our democracy, and our nation. We recommit ourselves to listening, learning, and elevating Black voices.

The chaotic tactics of ICE and DHS are the costing human lives. Minneapolis should never have this level of violence. DHS must step back and reassess before more people are harmed. Our hearts are with our Minnesota brothers and sisters. When is enough enough?
