What a moment! Superb swim by Duncan Scott and watching him win Team Scotland’s first medal of these Commonwealth Games was something special. Congratulations Duncan - you have made Scotland proud. 🥇🏴
Lovely to visit the Border Union Show in Kelso to listen to farmers, rural communities and food and drink businesses like the Borders Distillery - who now benefit from tariff-free whisky exports to the US.
Loving the Team Scotland tartan which I am looking forward to wearing tonight at the opening ceremony of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games!
Good to welcome Prime Minister Andy Burnham to Glasgow today. We will work constructively to improve the lives of people in Scotland, but that relationship must also be built on respect for Scotland’s right to choose its own future.
Scotland is ready to welcome the world. Honoured to open Team Scotland House in Glasgow today, ahead of the Commonwealth Games starting this Thursday.
The scale of the wildfire in the Cairngorms is a stark reminder of how quickly fires can spread. My thanks to the firefighters and emergency services working hard to contain it. We all have a responsibility to reduce fire risk, so please avoid naked flames and follow the advice.
50 days ago, we formed a new government and we’re getting on with delivering for you. ✅ Opened more GP walk-in centres ✅ Launched the First Homes Fund to support first time buyers ✅ Working to extend the £2 bus fare cap across Scotland Lots done, lots to do. Read more in my Record column today 👇
Great to catch up with Scottish hero Craig Ferguson at Tiree Music Festival. What a star.
Delighted to join Duncan Scott for the start of the arrival of the King’s Baton Relay in Scotland for the Commonwealth Games!
I promised we’d end the 8am rush for GP appointments, and we’re getting on with the job. Glasgow’s first GP walk-in service is now open in Cardonald. It’s the 9th walk-in centre in Scotland, with more opening soon. The SNP is on your side and we’re delivering for Scotland. 🏴
The Scotland we love is a nation of extraordinary resilience, one that can overcome each and every passing storm. In this new Parliament, we must work together - so we can deliver for the people who elected us here, and bring hope for the future.
Delighted to welcome my Perthshire North Local Hero to the Scottish Parliament today. Catherine Walker is doing amazing work with her Right to Hope campaign to tackle brain cancer in memory of her beloved husband, David Walker, another Hero.
Ten years ago, Scotland overwhelmingly voted to remain in the EU but was taken out against our will. Our best future lies in becoming an independent member state of the EU, and working with our neighbours to build a stronger, more prosperous country. 🇪🇺🏴
Today I met members of Edinburgh’s Muslim community and heard directly from those affected by the appalling attacks. No one in Scotland should ever fear being targeted because of who they are. My government will always stand against those who seek to divide us.
Getting ready to watch the match with Matthew. Come on Scotland! 🏴
To Steve Clarke, Andy Robertson and the Scotland men’s team - best of luck as you take on Morocco tonight. The win against Haiti was tremendous and all of Scotland is right behind you. Let’s do this! 🏴
Celebrating the fantastic election result our new MP for Arbroath and Broughty Ferry, Lara Bird, with SNP activists in Monifieth. While Westminster descends into more chaos and infighting, we are focused on tackling the cost of living and delivering for Scotland.
Polls are now open. You have until 10pm to vote for Richard Thomson in Aberdeen South and Lara Bird in Arbroath and Broughty Ferry. Only the SNP will always stand up for Scotland, and ensure our energy wealth benefits people in Scotland, not Westminster. 🏴
This is a welcoming country and the behaviour of the far right has no place on our streets.
More young people are moving into work, training, college or university after leaving school. The gap between those from the most and least deprived communities is narrowing. We're helping more young people succeed through free tuition, student support and more apprenticeships.
Spotted this at the airport before I left the USA - a great poster from a school pupil celebrating Scotland in the World Cup. 🏴🇺🇸
I have consistently made the case for Scotch Whisky to be exempt from US tariffs, and President Trump has committed to removing them. Now I’m in Kentucky to build on that progress, strengthen ties with the bourbon industry and back one of Scotland’s most iconic exports.
